I apparently have alien invaders, or at least hitch hikers, in my Blaptica dubia colony. My guess is that they hitched a ride with my last order of B. dubia roaches. They certainly are nothing I have ever seen in NY before, so I am certain they are not something indigenous that found their way into the colony. In addition, the B. dubia enclosure is the only place I have seen them. Despite them being evident in the enclosure for at least 2 months, they have not gotten any bigger in size than about 1/4 to 3/8 of an inch body length (at most). They don't seem to climb glass, I sure hope not anyway. I am guessing they are some sort of roach.
I am hoping someone can ID them for me after taking a look at the accompanying photos of them.
All the best,
Glenn B
