In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

NASCAR??

I was just curious if there were any fauna members that were fans of NASCAR? If so who’s your favorite driver(s)?

My three favorites are Jeff Gordon, Jimmie Johnson, and Kasey Kahne. There in no particular order, I root for them all.

Erm.....I doubt you'll have many people admitting any affiliation with NASCAR (tony stewart because of his wonderful attitude is my favourite) around here. It doesn't seem to be a hot topic (used to be a rudd supporter) around these parts.

But good luck finding any fans!

*coughs**coughs*gordon's a momma's boy*coughs**coughs**coughs*

:duck01:

Hmmm...........must have been some arguing over the topic. I don’t like Tony Stewart. He’s too much of a hot head. One thing I do like about him though is that he came from the USAC open wheel ranks and owns a World of Outlaws team. I used to race outlaw karts and sprint cars so it’s right up my ally.

Hahaha. Ricky Rudd was my favorite when I was little. I think I just like saying his name........Ricky Rudd........

So many people dislike Jeff Gordon yet he’s the best of all active drivers. :D

Glen,
Nothing like a good ole veteran to root for!

Tracey,
I knew someone would mention a DEI car. LOL. Michael is a real character that’s for sure. I’m glad he didn’t loose his ride with DEI next year. You lucky dog! You’re probably a hop, skip, and a jump away from Daytona. If I were to attend a race it would be Bristol all the way………

Terry,
You’ve got the need for speed....... Just take the restrictor plates off the cup cars on the Superspeedways and they’ll do well over 200mph, especially in the draft. :eek2:

I like NASCAR and I'm even from the North!!! I get a lot fo weird looks around here when I tell people that I'm a fan... but oh well.

My favorite was obviously Dale #3, but has since been khane and Jr.... stewert has been pretty hot headed lately and Gordon Sucks... if there is a way to ruin JR's good days he finds it.

I knew someone was going to say Jr. He has a lot of fans. His burns have really hurt the car performance the past few weeks as far as points go. After 6 more races though it won’t matter anymore. Jeff doesn’t suck………….:)

Benn to a race or two.. Knew Dick Trickle when he was small time in Wisconsin. My favorite drivers are.. Dale Earnhardt (My hero) Dale Earnhardt Jr Mark Martin and Michael Waltrip...

That’s cool that you knew Dick Trickle. My dad remembers Kasey Kahne when he was running sprint cars out in CA. You never would think these people would become so famous…

Jeremy’s a good driver. I was hoping he would have done better last year but there is always this year. I can’t wait for Sunday’s Daytona 500. Yahoo! The off season was too long. LOL.

I grew up in Indianapolis. I lived a 20 minute walk away from the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. My friends and I practically lived at The Track every May. Back in the day it was truly a sight to be seen.

I still pay attention to racing but I do not follow it like I once did. I have had the pleasure of seeing at least a dozen Indy 500's, 3 or 4 Brickyards and 2 United States Grand Prixs. While I still enjoy it, racing has lost a lot of the luster it once had with me.

I guess when you grow up watching Mario and Michael Andretti, the Unser Brothers, AJ Foyt, Rutherford, Mears, Parnelli Jones, Johncock, Sneva..... I grew up during the Golden Age of Racing in America, right dab smack in the middle of the Racing Mecca of the World..... it will just never be as good for me as it was back then.

That’s awesome Sammy that you are right there in the thick of things. I would love that. The closest “high profile” track to me is Infineon Raceway (about a two hour drive). Are you going to go to the Indy 500 or Brickyard this year?

Yeah I know what you mean about watching the veteran drives. There’s something about them that attracts us to the sport. If you could only drive a race car that would probably give you more interest. I grew up around racing since the day I was born. My dad became unable to drive so I started. I no longer do it but I have a lot of good memories. There’s nothing like a 600-900 horsepower sprint car to throw you back in the seat…

NASCAR. Thats where a buncha guys turn right (or is that left) for like 250 to 500 miles, right?
That would be the one…

I may, or may not go, to any or all of the three races at the track this year. I used to go to the races without question. The last couple of years though it has been a spur of the moment decision for each race.

With the Indy 500 being a multi-week event I always make it out there for a couple of different sessions each year. Be it practices, quals or Carb Day.

We have a lot of sprints around hear too. Guys like Kinser, Stewart before we was a big star, Gordon too and many others.

And how could I forget IRP (Indianapolis Raceway Park), Home of the NHRA U.S. Nationals. I make it out to that almost every year. There is just something about getting catapulted over 300/mph in a quarter mile that just leaves you awe struck no matter how many times you see it.

IRP has many tracks inside their complex, the drags of course, an oval (A lot of the NASCAR regs drive in the Kroger 200 the night before the Brickyard) and a road course. You can see all kinds of racing at IRP. If it has wheels they race them out there. It is pretty cool watching the bikes on the road course out there. Them folks got balls!!!
