Hey its Nathan! Here to clear things up.

This guy is a liar. He was supossed to send me Two 20lb alligator snappers and a 12 lb ally snapper. One of the 20lb snappers was missing when I recieved the package. I opened it infront of the Airborne express delivery guy and have been on the phone the last 2 weeks getting all the details of the shipment. I have talked to the station that he shipped it from and everything. This guy lied, he never sent the 20 lb that was missing. This is how I know. He said that the people at the station made him open the package and they told him he had to pay for boxing for the Rubbermaid tub because they won't ship. $25extra he says, well I contacted airborne and they told me they don't sell boxing material that large. But it still arrived in the rubbermade tub. Now the good part! He had a couch cushion in the tub and there is no way that he could have got those 3 turtles in there, even better I weighed the 2 turtles I got from him and the cushion and several pounds of newspaper in the tub and it weighed exactly the same as it did when it was weighed in at the airborne station!! Funny HUH! There are several other things that he has said or done to make me raise suspishion. I have several emails from him if anyone even doubts what I am saying. I hate that I have to explain myself because this guy decides he doesn't want to get rid of his largest ally snapper. I will not pay him the rest of the money because I have proof he is lying and did not ship that snapper with the others. If everyone knew what I know now about him, you would do the same. I have done buisness with several people from this forum and I have never had anyone complain. I am a honest person and this is terrrible that it had to come to this but I will not pay him anymore for the turtles, I already paid him $250 and $120 shipping, anyone that knows ally snappers thats well what the 2 that I got are worth, aspecialy when the 12lb has serious shell damage.

Evan, No worrys man, this guy is trying to make me look bad just because he knows what he did. He will continue to try by posting. This is a quote from his latest email, he doesn't spell real well but it basically says he doesn't care if he racks up Points and gets kicked off because he already sold everything he had. In short.

"now iam speaking with the moderator and your the one thats gonna lose i have all the proof i i dont have anything else to sell you do all my other sales wre great i dont care if i rack up 25 points and get banned i sold out remeber"

I am just glad I could explain myself, I knew he posted on the classifieds but I did know he posted here, now 100+ people saw his post before I could explain. Post some pics of the ally with the damaged carapice. Give us the information we need to understand that this guy is what you're saying he is.

Not only will that boost your credibility, it will also provide the rest of us (present and future) the opportunity to see what this guy is like so further hassles can be avoided. Be PRO-active instead of just RE-active to this guy!
 
all the info everyone now wants i did originally post on the turtle board which was the wrong place so i will restate the facts here
on august 19 i shipped nathan klein 3 alligator snappers which were 1 male 21lb 1 female 20lb and 1 b grade 11in which i sent pictures of all beforehand by mail because i dont have a digital.he liked all 3 but asked to pay $250 first and then $50 upon arrival because he did not have enough 4 which i now know was the start of the scam he did not intend to pay from the start. i kindly agreed to ship the way he wanted which was a extra burden for me because it is a 45 -1hr drive to the airx depot at the airport because of the size of the rubbermaid they were being shippedin it was a hassle because he wanted it billed to reciever which the airx told me required thier packaging.that was another $25 i paid making the total owed$75.ihave the airbill# and package reciepts .the rubbermaid was a total wieght of 56lbs.then he emails me saying he only got 2 turtles in the box and knew i definately sent 3 because his reciept also says 56lbs.he asked if i would give him a few days to settle with the airx because he sayed an employee stole the turle i kindly agreed and felt bad because i care about the turtles his titles of the mail i got from him say i beleive you the wieghts dont match which i have saved but dont know how to post them here if someone tells me how i will.then i never heard a thing.i tried several email attempts which were ignored thats why i finally posted here because i saw he was still putting stuff up for sale so he was not a missing person.so if i am lying why did you go through the claims with airx and stop responding to me?if i jerked you i would be the 1 hiding trying to avoid you it does not make sence for me to go after you if i was wrong.and whoever deals with him now he is going to be on his best behavior because i exposed him but evenyually a theif will show the true colors again!

21LBS + 20LBS + 15LBS (Total weighed of the snappers) The airbill says 50 lbs even. but even if his airbill says 56Lbs that still can't be because also included in the package was a 10lb wet couch coushion, probably 5 lbs of newspaper and than the 2+Lb tub he sent it in. That would mean if he sent the 3 turtles like he was suppossed to the package would have weighed 70+ lbs!!! See where I am getting.....He didn't send it, he put a hug cushion and newspaper in it to make up for the weight! And if he paid $25 for a cardboard box than I would have recieved it in a BOX! & who would pay $25 for a box???

Obviously Pedro, Petee or Peter (whatever you go by) the moderator doesn't like your imature "name calling".

And also, yeah I believe him for a while so I have filed a lost claim with airborne but when I looked back at all his emails and I caught him lying. I then weighed his package with all the original packing (cushion, newspaper) with the 2 turtles that I had. The package weighed 50LBS! Exactly what the AIRBILL SAYS! He says his says 56 but its just another lie. And even if it was 56LBs the huge male 15" 21LB Alligator snapping turtle that is missing would have made a serious difference in the weighed. So I called airborne, told them whats going on and Canceled the Claim.

Both of you dispute what was sent and recieved. Please provide with some amount of substantiation to your comments about the "facts". You posted that you have airbill # and package reciepts. Can you furnish copies of these records to be viewed online.

Also.. if you just learned how to type, I am sure you also learned there is a backspace key. Please, can you make even the slightest attempt to write properly.
 
I think I might have found a misunderstanding in the weight of the packaging. In his post, nathan states that a 2 20lb snappers and a 12 lb snapper. But in Peter's post, he states that it was a 21 lb snapper, a 20 lb snapper and an 11 INCH snapper. He never gave the weight of the third snapper, only the size.

Do either of you have any e-mail conversations that would clarify whether the third turtle's weight or measurment were given?

that first off might clear up a misunderstanding. For instance. 56lbs.....or 50....whatever. In Nathan's example, 20 + 20 + 12 + packing material. would most likely be over 50 lbs.

But 21 + 20 + estimated 4-6 lbs + packing material doesn't sound off to me.....

Now.....also......explain the packaging a little more clearly....

Was the cushion wet on arrival? Was it wet when it left Peter's?
Somebody mentioned that there was also newspaper.

some of these questions might be redundant and may have already been answered. But when thee might be a difference in physical weight, these answers might be important. Mainly the question about the size/weight of the smallest turtle....

I agree with you about the weight differences. That may very well explain things: good eye!

However, what it all boils down to is: Were there three turts in there or just two???

Someone is not telling the truth, here.
 
I'm pretty sure it's safe to assume that Peter will say he sent 3, and Nathan will say he received 2......however, there was the thought that an employee of the shipping company took a turtle.....From what I've read, Peter never disputed the fact that Nathan received only 2 turtles.....he just doesn't think he is to blame for it.

Also, I have other questions about hte packaging......

Nathan.....Exactly how did the package arrive. was there a cardboard box? or just a delivery of a taped up rubbermaid?

Peter....when the shipper told you you had to purchase one of their cartons, did they require you to USE the carton. I know this sounds funny, but I've worked at places that require you to buy their product, but you can still use yours...(cups of coffee at a convenience store....it's how they track liquid inventory.....) The shipper may have required him to purchase a carton, but they may have not used one for the sheer fact that it still may not have fit. They may have just needed it to be done for inventory tacking purposes.

Anyway. there are just too many questions about how the animals were eventually shipped. Unfortunately, the only people that may be able to answer these questions are the people at the shipping company........

He had the 3rd snapper listed at 12lbs. This would put the weights off if the package was 50lbs.

Well, although anything is possible, I seriously doubt that an Airborne Express employee helped himself to a 21 lb. alligator snapping turtle. First of all, most people would be afraid to touch it. Second, where would he hide it (it's a big 'no-no' to be messing with the cargo boxes at any of these shipping places). Third, how would he have time to go through the trouble???

Call me skeptical, but I've seen too many of these types of deals not to immediately suspect that someone is not telling us the truth here. I hope I'm wrong this time.
 
The package arrived in the rubbermade tub (36"x18"x18") with the lid screwed down. I opened it infront of the delivery guy and he saw that there was only 2 in there and I told him there was supposed to be 3 and he gave me a number to call. AT FIRST I thought someone from AIRBORNE X put the cushion in the tub to replace the snapper BUT a resent email from Peter said the cushion was for padding. Then I knew he did put the cushion in there and that he didn't send the other turtle because there was no room. The tub was (36"x18"x18"), there is no way enough room for a huge couch cushion Two 20Lb snappers and a 12-15Lb snapper and newspaper. There was barely enough room for one 20Lb snapper and 12-15lb snapper. They were crammed in there. TJEvans he is calling me a thief and a liar, he is disputing and blaiming me. And his so called $25 box that he wants me to pay for... I talked to airborne epress and they trasfered me to the department where the package was shipped from and they told me they do NOT sell large boxing material. Just small boxes and envelopes. He lied about that to get more money out of me. He is at fault here.

(20+) + (20) + (15) = 55+ Not to mention the padding weight, and the weight of the container.

That's awfully hard to fit into a package that weighs out a 50 lbs., or even if it's 56 lbs. What about that, Peter??? Those numbers came right out of your own ad; what do you have to say?
