So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

questions

hi i have been reading this story since shortly after it started because the size of the snappers caught my attention.
i have a few questions for both sides.
first nathan 21=12 is 33 at the 3 wieghts i have read there were 50 56 and 65.at any of these it does not add up.i know packaging can add up but thats slightly extreme.
second you said it was $120 for the shipping,another member tracked it at $99?
for peter i ask why did you not take full payment upfront,why did you accept partial payment?if you had recieved $300 up front would you still have a problem?
second $25 does seem like a big price for a box,was there other fees involved like crating or handling?

as for myself i always ship live animals with notification stickers so the contents of the package is well known.most shipping companies require to know if the contents of the package is a live animal for there records.i also have delivery personal look at what they deliver to me but its out of curiosity when they see boxes marked live animal.when i had a 10ft retic python delivered the package stated live non venomous snake.the delivery man wanted to see me open it because he never saw a snake up close before not becauseit was a policy of his job to watch me open it.so i can see how that can get several different sets of input from different members.
will this ever get resolved?if i was supposed to send 3 turtles but only sent 2 i would not go after the other person on the forums i would hide.peter seems pretty mad and strikes back maybe because he feels he is right.iam sure nathan feels he is right aswell.so why not come to a happy medium,nathan you said you believed peter in the begining maybe pay him $50 out of the $75 and settle this.i will not take sides either way but that might put an end to this.maybe other members will agree.

I guess you missed it when I asked for this before, so I'll ask again. Could you post a picture of the two turtles you received in the container in which you received them? With the cushion would be best, but a pic without it, would be better than nothing. That way we can see what you meant about there not even being enough room to fit another 20+ lb. ally in there.

Water weighs appx. 8 lbs. per gallon.

If one or more of those turtles urinated it would have increased the weight of the cushion until it dried and decreased the weight of the turtle(s).

If that cushion was large and wet it could easily have weighed 10 to 15 lbs more than it did when dry. This could be a crucial factor in the weight discrepancies.

The only reason this guy keeps lashing out is because people are believing his BS. He thinks sooner or later enough people will believe these lies he has been telling that I may give in and pay him the rest, I do 90% of my buisness on this forum. I can't take a pic of the tub and turtles, I wish I could but I don't have the cushion anymore.

15-20 LBS of packing is not extreme, the cushion was wet and took up 3/4 of the tub. it was shoved in there in an "L" shape (up against one side and the bottom). Than lbs of newspaper.

I have a pic that I made telling him how I want them shipped! Which he did Not do. and I will make a pic really quick of how he did ship them. Can someone offer to post up the pics if I email them. I always have trouble with posting pics. Please let me know. Thanks.

i would like to see an original picture.i think a picture you make on your own might incline you to fit it more to your liking.i hope you do not take offence to me saying that but something you draw up will suit your side of the story.you gave the measurements of the rubbermaid in one of your previous posts and it sounded large enough to fit 3 turtles of the stated sizes firmly and securely with the padding.
when shipping turtles together in 1 shipment you want the least amount of room for the turtles to be bounced around inside while in transport.was it foam padding or a sofa cushion?
someone stated that they needed to be insulated,where do you live?the weather seems warm enough not to warrant insulation,just some form of padding for protection.i personally feel a rubbermaid was a good idea because it is stronger than cardboard.also how many days did shipping take?were the turtles exposed to harsh conditions for a long duration of time?
is nathan still in pursuit of a claim with the shipping company?if you did not recieve 3 turtles and you sayed initially an employee stole it than that means you believed peter.what changed your mind?
 
Its obvious your taking sides anandrol. Oh well I explained myself many times, how many lies are we going to catch peter in before you stop accusing me of being a dishonest person. He is already lied to all of us about the boxing yet the finger still points at me. The delivery guy was standing right the when I opened the package. I have the airbill and I am sending it to Darin Chappell and then he will see that I am not at wrong. It gets really frustrating when I have spent so much time and energy explaining myself when I know this peter guy is full of it. If I was really trying to scam him out of money would I really risk all of it for $75? Wait $52 because Peter lied about the $25 boxing.

Oh one key fact that I never added to this story. When I sent the money to him I got tracking on it and he had to sign for it. He signed for it on a Friday and didn't respond to me until MONDAY! NO EMAILS! I thought he was scamming me then, but I sent him an email telling him that I felt as I was being scammed and guess what he responds about 12 hours later.

There is no way he will be getting a dime from me and I have all the proof. I will proove myself but give me a few days to get the info posted, Please don't point the finger until you see the copy of the airbill.

Oh also I called airborne and canceled the claim.

None of my business, but

I just wanted to expand on something Wes commented on about the weight of water. If one of the turtles urinated on the cushion, it would increase the weight of the cushion, but it would not increase the overall weight of the parcel, unless the turtle got out, took a drink and got back in the box. The urination would make the cushion weigh more and the turtle would weigh less as a result of emptying it's bladder.

Not trying to be a smart-alec, just trying to clarify the comment.

I think it would be good if a photo (as one has already suggested) of the shipping container, as it was received, could be posted so an evaluation can be made of the probability of fitting a third animal in the box with the others, packaging and sofa cushion....

I'd think it would have been better to use an air cargo service in a crate... less expensive, safer and more comfortable for the animals.... and a nailed or screwed shut crate would not allow an employee the opportunity to slip that 21 pound snapper into his or her shirt and sneak away.

sorry nathan if you feel iam taking side,iam being as impartial as i can but reading threw the threads it is amounting in the favor of peter.you say you have an airbill and are sending it what wieght does it say on it?is it going to be different from the 3 wieghts already stated?
peter can you send an airbill aswell?
if nathan feels that someone else viewing the airbill will make a difference,i dont know how because all the wieghts have already been stated.
peter did you secure the rubbermaid closed in any fashion to not allow any tampering?
whom ever gave the idea about the crating as a form of shipment gave a good idea i will use that method in the future thanks.
you say its not worth your $50 for all your explaining,i think it is,if you say you do 90% of your business here i would think clearing your name would be of utmost importance here!
i have not done prior business with either party,but for you to say its not worth all the explaining makes me wonder.
 
I am trying to clear my name but seems peter can keep lying and everyone except for you has seen the lie about the amount of the box and when darin recieves the copy of the airbill he will post it up for everyone to see that PETER was lying about the weight also.

The 3 weights are:
50Lbs (my weight)
56 (Peters lie)
65lbs (Airborne changed the weight, when I contacted them they said it was for that size of package and they changed it back to 50. When I check the tracking when it was given to me by peter the weight was 50lbs, when it arrived it was 65lbs. Airbornes mistake and they changed it on my envoice.

Peter is lying and when it is prooved my name stillwon't be clear. Everyone will still have this in the back of there mind. Peter has done what he intended to do, make me look bad. I know this because he says he emailed me several times, funny I recieved emails from everyone else but him. Then he posts up on the classifieds section "Nathan Klein Please Pay Me" Than repeatedly calls me a thief and a liar in the post, it wasn't deleted by the moderator until 50+people saw it. Now how am I suppossed to clear my name now.
 
hi nathan iam glad we can talk like adults here.from what iam reading peters story has not changed from the begining,the only lies are what you say he is lying about.has anyone else claimed his information was lies?
i have seen changes in your story,like the different wieghts and mistakes that the service provider supposedly made and now you have fixed.iam not a rocket scientist but 33lbs of turtle on whatever airbill wieght you give such as 50,56,and65 does not add up properly.at any of the wieghts given you are shy by some major turtle pounds!even if your bill says 50lb like you say it does it is still quite possible all 3 turtles were inside.
 
Well its obvious that you are just reading peters posts because about 5 people have said that $25 for boxing is way to expensive. By the way both you guys type it looks as you are the same person. Anyone know this Anadrol? I'm thinkin its peter. Also peters location says NewJersey but he lives in NEWYORK! Also he goes by 3 differnt names! Peter Pedro Petee and Last names Quinones Quinonesara...I still think anadrol is petter because it seems anadrol is the only person taking peters side and they type the same. Proove me wrong but thats how it looks.

Nathan, how well was the tub fastened? I mean was it waterproof? And as for if anandral and peter are one in the same one of the mods could easily give that info I believe by checking the user ip's.

Priscopg and "Prisc" also from NY well peter is from NY even if his profile on "Priscopg" says NJ, You will see the airbill in a few days. And they type the same and also! PRISCOPG HAS NOT RESPONDED SINCE ANADROL! I BET HE WILL SOON THOUGH.
I think I will just let Peter ruin his credibility himself.

The tubs lid was screwed down with about 8 screws. Sorry it took me so long to respond I just thought that was so funny using two names like that, now anadrol got off so I am sure priscopg will be ONline soon. :)
 
Okay, now I'm left to ponder something...

Bearing in mind that AOL uses proxy servers, and their ip addresses are dynamic, what are the odds of two users members of this site, posting on the same thread, with identical writing styles, and similar names/usernames, being assigned the same ip within a span of 24 hours?

Anadrol or Priscopg you just got busted. I can't believe you would try something like that on this site. You will get caught every time. Good thing you "sold out" all your reptiles, cause this place will ruin you now and you deserve it. You even had an argument going.
