• Responding to email notices you receive.
    **************************************************
    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Need help in new york

depending on where this person is, I may be able to help. I ship FedEx (with reptile/snake waiver), and have the supplies. Or I could mail the heat pack(s).
Depending on the type of snake, there are a few options - you seemed not to want to say what it was...feel free to PM me

You can find them on the internet... Some people use those handwarmer packs that you can get at a sporting goods place (but those don't last long and might not work the way you want).

Not illegal. But FedEx actually requires you to go through their approval process to ship reptiles. UPS may refuse a shipment if there's a reptile in it (some people ship with UPS, but their own customer service can't even give consistent answers - some say UPS will not accept reptiles, some say they will).

Delta will accept reptiles though I think you also have to become approved by them beforehand.

It's more a case of whether a shipping company will TAKE the reptile or not, the shipping company's policies. It is illegal to ship any snake via the Postal Service, but lizards are ok.

more on legalities and policies.
This is part of one of my PMs to the original poster:
Sending snakes via the United States Postal Service is a Federal offense. FedEx is the only overnight carrier that BY POLICY accepts snakes, and that is for people that go through their certification process. Some people do ship UPS or DHL (or FedEx, without the waiver) however, in order to do that, you must lie about the contents of the package. Failure to accurately label the box with the contents, when the contents are living animals, is a violation of the Lacey Act (more Federal charges). Also, if the company discovers or even suspects that the package contains something which violates their TOS, they can stop it in its path...where ever that may occur. They are not required to ship something that violates their TOS, so it would be up to you, or the seller, to get to the animal to recover it.

Also, Delta Dash requires one to become a recognized shipper. Shipping air "freight" does not - or didn't the last I knew. The problem with shipping freight is there is no guaranteed arrival time, and packages sometimes get bumped to later flights (in extreme cases, the delay can be greater than 24hrs)

oh - and before anybody opts to dispute, the above comments about DHL and UPS refer specifically to snakes and are based on their policies as written. We all know that some people/businesses manage to get approval, a blind eye turned, or implied consent to ship snakes with these carriers.
