    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Need help with an ID -.-

I don't see vanilla at all, and he doesn't look anything like our mocha either. The mocha is a lot darker.

My only idea was what you said Deb, that maybe he's just a "not so nice" fire. I can't think of what else he could be, and the colors most closely match what I picture as fire. I know sulfurs are to some extent exchangeable with fires, so maybe I can explore that route. I was hoping someone had seen one like this to compare to.

I expect to see a lot more noticeable head markings with a fire, but again, he might just be a bad example. Now I have to think of a female to buy to test him lol.

I'm embarrassed to even post this but I honestly have no clue.
Don't be embarrassed, it is not like they run around with Morph ID chips:)

I had hoped the head markings would have helped out more, but honestly, I don't know what it is. For me it could pass for either a normal or fire. I have seen extra light normals and extra banded fires. I personally couldn't pretend to know 100%.

That's exactly how I feel. I've seen GOLDEN normals, but in person it's hard for me to think he's not a morph. I think ill try to find a super fire female or wait for my fire combo girls to grow up and see what happens with the babies. After Deb mentioned sulfur i did some image searches and can totally see it...i used to think fire and sulfur were the same thing, but if he is such a thing I'd have to say they ARE at least phenotypically different. With sulfur/fire combos i can't see a difference, but he's not nearly as light as our straight up fire.

I would lean towards a tiger. It is obviously banded, and the Tigers are lighter. The only other thing I would suspect is that it is a het of some sort. The problem is not knowing, you could spend years trying to find out het for what? With no tell tale signs that it is something new and genetic, I would probably pass on trying to prove him out.

Yeaaaaa you're probably right on proving him Randy...i have enough males that I know the genetics of, I don't need to spend a bunch of time fiddling around. I'll probably just try to give him to someone as a nice looking pet, if they decide to breed him later that's their business.
