I have 2 5-6 month old red foots, first one has started to get light in weight and will only eat strawberries, I even tried using small amount of strawberries when I cut there food in a bowl and smashed the food around to get the sent of the strawberries on the greens but he still wont eat it, hes tried to bite his siblings leg cause its red like a strawberry. I give them well over enough food and leave it in there till nite time and the other one does not bully him for food at all. I only mix them into there food about 2-3 times a week and feed the spring mix, strawberries, cantaloupe, apples, baby greens, yellow squash, zucchini, dandelion flowers and leaves, mustard greens once a week. I keep there cage moist I am using sphagnum moss in there enclosure and I soak them 3 times a week for 15-20 mins and I keep them outside during the day. Both of them the bottom of there shell is soft and somewhat flexes with very little pressure is that normal for them being young? Its not shell rot of fungus the color looks normal on both. Do they need extra calcium? some powdered stuff? I just want them to be healthy there my 2 young boys they never touch them only when I soak them I let them pet there top of shell very lightly there 5 and 6 and are very good with all are pets I have several water turtles they help take care of too. Would that cream work that you use on water turtle shells work? Any suggestions will help and can be sent to my email @[email protected] Thanks Scott
