    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Need opinions on a bad deal with Tim Bowles of Arboreals of the Rainforest!!!

Mr. Bowles,

I suggest that you get all your paperwork ready, get your story straight, and be prepared for the judgement against you Next week. It is going to sting a bit when it is handed down but it is your own fault that it has had to go to court. You should have never sent such a sick animal out in the first place under NO circumstances.

However, I am confused by something. Tim says that Matt knew the snake was sick and infected when he sold it to Tim originally. Well Tim, Mr. Smarty Pants, if that was the case, why on earth would Matt spend $2500 to get a sick snake back? And then after that, why spend all the money he has on vet bills and necropsy if he already knew what the snake had? Please, explain that Tim. Explain why Matt would sell you a sick snake, only to buy it back for more money later?

And on top of that, you said it was in perfect condition before you shipped it(which, I'm sure at SOME point before shipping it WAS). So which is it Tim? Sick snake or healthy snake? Because you can't have it both ways.
 
I think part of his problem is remembering what he said when and to whom....or when one of the stories gets shot down it seems a brand new one pops up out of know where.

You are right Rob if I knew the animal was sick I wouldn't have taken it for free let alone pay $2,500.00 for it. It would be like saying the snake is in the last stages of liver failure and has virtually no bloodsuger but you can have her for $2,500.00 even though she isn't going to live very long. Give me a break. But wait a second....according to the team from Ohio......it happened during shipping. Can it be that I knew I was buying a sick snake that they knew would get sick from shipping? Were they seeing the future?

The fact that you gave that animal SQ fluid injections PROVES beyond any reasonable doubt that you KNEW the animal was not healthy. It also PROVES that you were TRYING to COVER UP that fact to Matt. Both of those FACTS show definitive premeditation on your part . . . an attempt to defraud.

Ragardless of what else was or wasn't true about the animal's health, regardless of what the judge says next week, you still injected that animal and shipped it in that horrible condition. That is never going to change, and the people who frequent this board will ALWAYS know that about you!

Shame on you, Tim. I hope your business suffers to the point that you are driven from the industry.

He is friends with Tim and seems to know about the whole deal so this kind sums it up for everyone. Tim told me he didn't do it but yet his friend says he did it....hmmmm who to believe. I would go with his friend Scott since he has no reason to lie about that

It is also a shame that Tim has turned to trying to give Tony Nicoli a problem. I guess if you are going down you may as go down big.

I posted that because the vet report showed that it was injected... but... who injected it.. who knows. What I know of the deal is from what has been posted on forums.

I don't see Tim trying to give Tony a hard time... If Tony has had positive tests for the virus.. and you had both snakes in together.. you are giving Tony the hard time by not properly quarentining the snakes.

As far as I know, Tim has never denied injecting that animal. But, just for the sake of argument, the only other person who could have done so was Matt, right? Why would he do that? Surely a picture of an emaciated animal would have proven his point better than a bloated one, would it not? What benefit would Matt have in giving the animal an SQ injection before taking pictures?

All of this being combined with how Tim continually pulls this "drive-by-posting" technique, when he used to be one of the biggest BOI watchdogs around, just sickens me. The hypocrisy is thick, and we are all very sick of it, I can assure you, Tim!

I wish I had answers. I have a good feeling both parties have not been totally open with us.. whether it personal reasons or attorney requested. Hopefully after the court date, we will have a final answer to all of the questions.

Hey Darin...I actually paid the same amout as the initial sale price to him but I would NEVER buy an emerald that I knew was sick....as a matter of fact I wouldn't even want one around my home even for free.
