Need opinions on a bad deal with Tim Bowles of Arboreals of the Rainforest!!!

Well.. thats great then.. would rather not have that virus in anyones collection. I am not making accusations, I am just reposting information that has been posted here. My next question, is where did that information come from that was posted?
It was never posted....you are just misreading things....as I said previously...I would drop it because you have no basis for making such statements and you are begining to look as bad as someone else around here for trying to start rumors.

I apologize.. hard to keep track of all the posts here. And.. just because someone does not agree with you.. does not make the confrontational. You don't seem to be able to handle the fact that someone does not see something from the same point of view as yourself. The main question that comes to my mind in this thread is 'What is the motive??'

If Tim was hellbent to harm Matt, wouldn't there have been a more subtle, more certain way to do it? Sending a person an animal he knows well and could spot instantly as being sick, much less infected with a highly contagious agent, is just downright stupid. So I have to assume the goal was not to infect Matt's collection. To get the $2500??? That was worth sacrificing Tim's reputation? That just doesn't make sense.

So what is really going on??? A court case isn't going to tell us anything. Both lawyers will just be lying their asses off for their clients trying to make up any story the judge and jury will swallow.

So what made Tim mad enough at Matt to do something like this? He obviously had to know it would come out in public.

I do believe there was intent from the beginning to defraud Matt based on the information that has been posted. Now, do I think I know EVERYTHING about this deal? Not at all. However, based off of what has been posted, it appears to me that Tim was out to pull one over on Matt.

Let's look at it...

1. Tim required that Matt send him the FULL $2500 upfront for the animal. However, he allowed Jim S. to get another snake from him with only a small downpayment. I also think Matt had worked out numerous payment plans with Tim as well, right? To my recollection, Matt is not known for stiffing people, so why the sudden need for his money NOW? Makes me think he wanted to be SURE that animal was payed for in full before Matt saw it and would withhold further payments.

2. Tim was adamant about there being NO guarantees with shipping UPS. Granted, I am no big fan of the overnight carriers myself, but for a $2500 animal, I don't know ANYONE that wouldn't offer SOME kind of guarantee. I also don't know very many people dealing with high end animals like that that aren't using the airlines. Now, granted, Matt could have chosen a different method, but if there were NO other methods offered than a UPS with no guarantees, what else was he supposed to do? Sounds like a set up to me, at least.

3. The animal was injected with subcutaneous fluids to mask severe dehydration and illness. Tim blamed UPS, therefore, voiding what little guarantees there were on the animal. Last I checked, opening packages and then injecting their contents with fluids was not normal operating procedure.

4. Tim later says Matt sent him the snake sick. Tim can't make up his mind.

There is more I could type, but I'm tired. I am sure there was a reason Tim sent Matt that snake. Be it anger or what have you, I believe based on the information that has been posted here that Tim intentionally defrauded Matt.

Yes I had to pay the full amount up front which consisted of a $1,200.00 wire and polishing off a $1,300.00 debt he owed me for a snake I sent him. He even cancelled shipping twice when I told him I would pay him later both times. One time he blamed it on weather and the second time it was a thursday and he didn't want to ship until the following monday. After recieving maybe $10,000.00 - $15,000.00 worth of snakes from me without EVER paying a penny up front he damands full payment up front.......hmmmmm.

With the first bad snake he sent me I only wanted it shipped UPS because my buddy is the one that comes to my house. He knew I wouldn't ship any other way so he came up with the 'no guarantee if anything happend as a result of shipping' clause. That was ok with me. Well the animal arrived at 9:01 am the next morning and he said I promised him it would arrive by 8:30 and it didn't. He made a point of that but that wouldn't fly anywhere because it wasn't true....I don't tell the drivers when to deliver. I did say by buddy comes around very early though but I don't make his schedule. When I called his home as well as on the net, it was blamed on UPS at first....then there were other stories.

There is also more I could type but it is such an open and shut thing there is no need.

I look at a few things here, both visual and verbal (well typed anyway) and it just does not add up. When I received the two ETB's from Tim, last year now, they were packed with more paper than that big box had. They were in there nice and tight, they had a thermometer in the box so I new (and he wanted to know) what the temp was when I received them.

Why didn't I have a thermometer and more newspaper?

That is an easy question to answer. Tim was out to screw you and wanted to "dump" that animal so he would not have to deal with the loss himself. Well he is going to deal with the loss very soon! I hope the judge awards you the cost, Vet expenses and more for your time and trouble.

It seems when Tim does speak here he is lying. Gosh why even bother just come clean Tim and get it over with you look like a fool. You will never have a good name. As of what I see noone would buy a kingsnake off of you. That is bad because I have seen the pics on your site and it looked like you had some nice snakes. Well I guess that makes no difference now. You could have the best but I dont think anyone in their right mind would buy one from you.
