    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

I was ripped off $800 in tortoises from a guy who will remain un-named (you can go look at an old post using my username to search for it if you want to know the full story) because I don't want to send him into hiding.  After complaining to the consumer affairs office in his county (which led to an investigation with no result), now I am wondering if filing a report with the police would help?  I would appreciate everyones advice on this.  One problem is he has no known address at this time, he is on the run from others he ripped off too.

I am guessing these were stars? and what were the particulars
did he send you sick animals or animals with extra scutes?
Were they sent at all?
Did you send him money??
I did a search with your user name and came up with the one about the stars , is this the correct one??
I would go to the police with all records of the sale [I am assuming you used a postal M.O. or paypal] 800 is a lot of money to lose <img src="http://www.faunaclassifieds.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/sad.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':('>
 
Hey sorry to hear you got ripped, if I were you I would file a police report and get them to look into it. Do a search with my username encomapssing the past year.  It is the post regarding MAS.  

To answer the other posts, he never sent the animals at all.  He has burned other people for far more than my measly $800.  I guess the police will be the next step then.

Well....I'm sorry to hear you got ripped off...but, if you're giving all sorts of "clues" to whom it is....why don't you just come out and say it??? What are you afraid of?? The whole idea of this site is to let people know of the scam-artists "by name"!!

As far as the cops go....I wouldn't hold my breath!! Been there, done that! ....Neil

If he is currently on the run from y'all, isn't he already in hiding then?? So why not post his name? Maybe someone here has updated info? Just a thought.

I am sorry to hear he ripped you off.  I would definitely contact his local police.  They already have a bunch of other that have fuiled charges against him. He took a friend of mine (who is an Large importer from Madagascar) for around $8 grand, and he took an exporter in Madagascar for about $12 grand.  He is nothing but SCUM and needs to prosecuted to full!!  Below are a couple of address and phone numbers I have for him. Look guys the only reason I did not post the name and too many specifics was that the last time I posted ( the one I told oyu to look for, it wasn' hard was it?) I got an e-mail from someone representing another company that got ripped off asking me to cool it on the posts because the guy would go on the run.  He has been on the run!  Thats why.  This guy owes people tens of thousands and I was just respecting someones request on keepin the lid quiet.  After all, I already posted about the guy!  My question was seeking advice in contacting hte local authoritys or any other avenue I might take.  Oh well.....

Toby...If what you said is true (about the other company wanting you "not" to mention his name)...then I think you did the wrong thing by coming here at all!! You don't need "our" approval for you to contact the cops, or anybody else you wanted! Take some initiative and just do it!! Don't worry about what "we" aren gonna think??....putting this thread up in any manner, just tells this guy that people are still looking for him?? At this point, you might as well give us all the information you've got....Neil
