    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

He is still happy, eating well and head bobbing at the girls whenever he catches a glimpse of them so now he is healthy...

One more thing to ad, the large accumulation is NOT fleshy in nature, it is solid and right in the middle of his leg bone. It is exactly where I thought it would be, right up on the joint of the leg and hip.

If it DOES happen to be cancerous in nature... I guess there's nothing that can be done. maybe amputate the cancerous leg? :shrug01: Probably not, the accumulation is too close to the hip for something that drastic.

Don't know... They will be doing an biopsy at the beginning of next month. Right now they are only making guesses, and they told me not to pick him up, unless absolutely necessary because the chances of it fracturing his leg are high.

Aw :( best of luck and I hope everything turns out well. I was also thinking they might be able to amputate before you uploaded the xray, but you may be right. Hopefully they can save him if it is malignant. He looks really healthy and spoiled :)
 
Ok guys,

This boys leg has gotten even thicker, and he has been acting a little more lethargic than usual. Still eats well, but hardly basks and never holds his head up. I really don't want anything bad to happen to this boy! Won't have money for the biopsy until next week, so for right now, it's just a game of "wait and see". :(


Something else that came to me.... Ok, well this boy is breeding age/size. One of my females is getting VERY close to breeding age/size...
I'm making up a hypothetical situation here now, so please bear with me...

Let's say that it IS cancer. Let's also say that he makes it through the next couple months, when my biggest female becomes breeding size... Would it be an "ethical" thing to breed a dragon with cancer, possibly putting that into a "gene pool" of babies?

I know, I'm thinking too far ahead but I can't help it lol. I would just hate for something like that to happen.. then he would never "get any".. lol. I hope this makes sense. :)
 
I hope it doesn't turn out to be the worst case scenario,that is cancer. Something going on in there is causing him some pain. I don't know that cancer is genetic,I don't think it is in humans...although some people are more at risk if a parent has it,that's still not really genetic. What to say about breeding him is your call. Unless someone that knows a lot more about the cons of doing so could enlighten you. Hope for the best Dan...sorry your guy is sick !

Yes, that's exactly what Vicky Dachiu told me as well... not really a genetic thing, but it just makes the offspring more at risk.

Should it be cancer.. I think I will just keep him as a pet.

But, the biopsy in a week or so should tell us for sure. Fingers crossed. :D
 
*crosses fingers* Hope everything goes well! i have a lil man with a big bump on his chin that came out of nowhere, he gets x-rays soon to check it out...
 
Hi Dan, I just read this entire thread. Had not read any of it before. I am new to dragons, so I do not have any advice or information. I do however, have a very soft heart and want to wish the best for your little man. It is sometimes hard to read about some one having a sick dragon, but that is how we all learn. Just like when I posted about me losing my dragon Isabelle after only having her a week. I thought it important to share my experience so that some one else might not make the same tragic mishap. God bless you and the little Gremlin man :) Doreen

Poor guy... just wanted to add that Serrapaptase is a great natural pain reliever/anti-flammatory. I buy it for our elderly dragons. I get mine from bug-de-lite online store.

Hope the best for your boy!
