    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

need warmer climate!

hello everyone, I'm not sure how to go about this so heres the problem.
when I lived in Houston I was given a sulcata tortoise. I have moved to North California(Oregon Boarder) and the winters here are way to harsh. He is confined to the garge for months.
I want a very good hime for him where winter tempatures dont drop much below 60, if that. He is not for sale, but I would give him to the perfect home. I would like to start a dialog with the prospective new owner and if it seems right Iwill deliver him to his new home. I have had him about 4.5 years and he is 25- 30 lbs.
any sugestions? thanks,
tiddleyb

Re-homing tortoise

Hi Lorna....you might try putting this in the adoption thread, you would probably get a lot more viewers and possibly find a nice home for him. I hope it all works out for you !

sulcata tortoise for adoption

I have a 25-30 lb male sulcata that I need to place in a warmer climate. I moved from Houston to northern California and the winter here is too harsh.

I am looking to place him where the temp doesnt drop much below 60 degrees. if that.

I want a home where he will be loved. This is not an easy thing for me , but his needs are most important.

thank you
