In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Bobby sanchez recently bought a 1600g female ball python recived the snake and then did a buyers dispute wich took the money out of my paypal account (wich left it with a negitive balance)and refuse to send me my snake back so don't do business with him unless you like getting ripped off!!!!! if anyone can help it would be appreicated thanks

That's strange, usually all you have to do is give paypal proof that you shipped and he received a package. Did you send them the tracking number? Will you post all emails and receipts?

don't ever use paypal

i never use them because they take so much of your money thanks for the help

Clarification

English is not the poster's primary language - I am fairly certain that he is trying to say:

I had not used PayPal previously because they are so expensive - hence I was unfamiliar with their rules. Thank you for providing me with this information so that I can try and resolve this.

:)

Perhaps if you shipped Mr. Sanchez a rock like you have done for other folks he would credit your account?

Right, how come you never commented on the thread that was brought up by you, Mr. Ritch? http://www.faunaclassifieds.com/forums/showthread.php?t=87956 I'm glad that you sent the snake back that you had tried to trade for a rock, but it seems like you didn't do that until various authorities got involved.

Why should anyone believe what you say about someone scamming you if it doesn't seem you are very trustworthy, and you didn't even defend yourself on the thread about that issue?

Besides - it shouldn't be hard to get Paypal to reverse the chargeback if you send them proof that his snake was shipped and received. If an item is disputed, they initially refund the money but this is not necessarily permanent - if they find that the dispute wasn't valid, they will reverse everything back to normal.

We all know this is most likely B.S. but just in case and since pay pal was used I must correct a few on pay pal. They are being used as the new scam. Crooks have figured it out and got to me and several others I know of. I sent out an 8-foot albino burm. $600.00 shipped FedEx. He received it, sent me e-mails how great it was, and how he loved it. 2 weeks later pay pal took the 600 back from me. He stated to them he never received the snake. I sent them e-mails how he got it, loved it, signed for it himself with the FedEx driver, and was everything he ever wanted. Pay pal still found in his favor and refused to give me my money back. As far as I’m concerned pay pal is as big of thieves and scammers as the person starting this thread. Go to www.paypalsucks.com for more horror stories.

Jim,
I tend to agree with you, paypal is all about the buyer. I have a small Ebay business and PayPal is a necessary evil, but any dispute is automatically given to the buyer. Thankfully there have been very few instances in my situation and those that did come up the buyer was way out of line (to the point of being fraudulant), but we were still scammed out of money. The worst was a buyer using a stolen credit card that had purchased several thousand dollars worth of merchandise from us, then paypal informed us the card was reported stolen and removed the money from our account. Of course, paypal had taken the buyer's info and card number and set up the account for him, but they admitted no liability.

Only deal with buyers that are PayPal verified.
Only ship to the PayPal verified address.
Always require signature.

That gives you legal recourse if PayPal sides with the buyer.

It probably is also a good idea to take a picture of the healthy snake before you ship it.

Ick. I didn't realize they can still find in the buyer's favor if delivery can be proven! :(

You have to prove that it was delivered to the verified address of the PayPal verified customer.

IE if I bought a snake from you and had it delivered to Joe Blow, I could tell PayPal it never arrived.

The issue is phishing. A PayPal account becomes compromised, and used to make the purchase. The only way PayPal can know that the user who is associated with the account made and received the purchase is if it is a verified account with verified address (meaning the address of the user has been verified as the billing address for a credic card associated with the account) and the shipment was made to that verified address.

Ship to an alternate address or to a non verified account, and PayPal has little recourse - because if they don't side with the buyer, the buyer will just call up their CC company and reverse the charge.

With a verified account, that may also happen, but PayPal can then take the money out of the bank account associated with the PayPal user (if funds are available) and have legal recourse if the user tries to sue.

Let me put it this way - since I have stopped accepting payments from non verified paypal users and only ship to the verified address - I have not been ripped off once on eBay. This has been my policy for several years now. Before that, it happened several times.

You mean you actually sent a snake to him? :eek2: Are you sure it wasn't a rock and that's why he's doing a buyers dispute? :reddevil:

The paypal policies do not always go to the side of the buyer. My case in point. Despite phone calls from my attorney forwarded documentation and clear misrepresentation they sided with the seller.. And I am Paypal verified.. Not that it matters I recieved satisfaction for my troubles and things are not quite over at this point.. But I would suggest only using persons who are paypal verified and check to make sure the information matches.. Ie You buy a rock.. I mean snake from Joe Blow and recieve a payment request from Bob West.. Just be careful in whatever payment methods you choose all are with risk..

Wow....like a cool game show....spin the wheel of karma. Wheel looks to have stopped right on the dollar sign...no extra spin needed.

Casey....it would seem has been Rocked -n- Rolled. Ahahahahahahahaha.
