Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Karma is a good tool, it encourages people to think twice before they post.;) It also is a great way to make people think twice about posting personal insults that have nothing to contribute to threads.:dgrin:

Now, I wish we could read everyones karma. That would be something to see why someone was left what by another member.

I bet if you went through all your posts you would have more insults than any other member here,its a shame because I stick out my Hand in Kindness and get slapped because I dont subscribe to how you think wich is really a Very Rude person and not very Proffesional

You can always ask them to copy and paste the cooresponding remark to the karma given. ;)

It had nothing to do with your agreeing to how I think (You really do sound remarkably like Ed). You posted insults to the members about 2 or 3 times in the same thread and I let a couple go.

1. Insulted me for MY opinion (that's you sticking out your hand in kindess?).

2. About some of us have no lives

Tin, you are delusional. I am low-man on the totem pole here. I get all the flack when people get tired of taking pot-shots at each other (see how fast one was to take YOUR word over mine when you whinned about getting Karma in the thread?) There's probably lots of people just waiting for me to screw up.:rofl: (When and IF I do..I will certainly man up to it and make it right if at all possible.)

I may be being a bit cruel, but it's because of posts such as the ones that you (and I in the recent past) have posted that Karma is baaaaack.

I've gone toe-to-toe with Deb on the BOI and told her flat-out that I thought she was wrong in what she chose to do and how she chose to defend it. She never once took it personally or hit me with negative karma.

I've watched your exchanges with her both here and on the BOI. I don't see her acting like it's personal at all, she's just responding to your continual poking at her. YOU poke...she responds...then YOU claim it's personal. :rolleyes: So far as I can see, you're the one who's making it personal and acting extremely immaturely about the whole thing.

I'm QUITE sure you disagree with that, and I'm not trying to convince you that you're wrong in how you perceive your own actions and motivations because that's a lost cause. But you MIGHT want to consider how you are appearing to OTHERS who see only how you behave and post here.
 
I have a couple of quotes here I am commenting on. I am not singling out one or the other, but giving my view of the situation. It appears that something happened somewhere else that is not posted here in this thread.

I am not going to go and read all of Debs posts, but I will say that I believe you are wrong. Any person, including myself, can in some cases get somewhat heated in a BOI thread. I have done it and even recieved warning points for it, but it doesn't make me a bad guy. I think negative karma will make people stop and think twice before opening their mouth.

As for your attack on Deb here, this isn't the place for that. Take it somewhere else. Although your attack was subtle, and not vulger, it just doesn't belong in this particular thread. This is about karma as a whole, not what happened to you or someone else for that matter.

Deb has had a lot of good input in a lot of the posts on this whole web site. She is one who means well and genuinely wants to help. So what i am saying is, her heart is in the right place, that doesn't mean that you or I will agree 100% of the time. I can tell you right now there are people that have made remark after remark, that could care less about the situation, that just want to stir the pot. Deb is in no way one of those.

I think you and evryone here are entitled to their opinion. Maybe some will agree and maybe some won't. The fact is, it is our opinion, and what we give is what we feel can help, or hurt any given situation. Although a lot of what happens here on the BOI is serious, in some cases people take comments to serious, and get carried away. I am refering to people who are commenting on a thread, when the thread is not even about them. And in some cases results in insults over opinions, which are uncalled for.

I don't know much about your personal life, but I do know that you have a life outside of your computer. I think you like to contribute in what you feel is a constructive manner, and maybe someone could possibly be jealous.

As for the clique, I don't think there is a clique when it comes to people wanting to help people. Some people want to help more then others so their names will appear in more threads because they are more active.

Here is an old saying, " opinions are like a** holes, everyone has one". Just shows we are all human, and we all speak our minds. Just because someone doesn't agree doesn't mean it is wrong.

:rofl: Kelli..I understand your feeling.

But in my opinion, as more people want the BOI to be professional then it's going to be a very handy tool in helping us police ourselves, if we stop taking it personally.

We will all get better as we use the tool and become better able to apply it correctly, and as we mature, we will be able to look at our posts objectively when we are hit with the negative and see exactly what we said, that shouldn't be in the BOI.

Sort of like negative conditioning? You touch the stove and it burns?:rofl:
 
How about everyone knock off the public pissing duel before I have to send all participants packing for a few days?
