• Responding to email notices you receive.
    **************************************************
In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Negative rating because he's slow to respond?

Some guy gave me a negative rating because I sold out of the chameleons before he even got around to emailing me back. After I said they were sold and offered him some other chameleons as a gesture of good faith, he sent me an email back "classy move" and I log on today to see he left me a negative feedback?

For one, I didn't think this was facebook...

Two, the guy never even initiated payment, took more than a day to respond via emails and messages, and then acted like a little brat afterward?

How do I remove this or contest it?

Thanks...I KNEW things were going too smoothly. Some asshat would have to step in for no reason.

AND when this guy found out how much shipping was, he tried to get me to use HIS shipping label. He still hadn't paid yet... Using someone elses shipping label is a KNOWN fedex scam, even mentioned ON PayPal's website.

Well, you sent me a private message, and left a message in my profile area about this problem on top of what you posted here.

Enough already. This is a personal spat between you and another member. Why would you expect staff here to come to your aid over something like this? We aren't judges. We aren't private investigators. We likely don't know from Adam, nor the other party you are referring to.

So what are you expecting out of us? To take sides?

Oh yeah, you sent me an email and also contacted me via email through the CONTACT US, link on this page.

Obviously this has you upset. Do you want is to track down that offending party and kill him for you? Would that make you feel better?

Leave a negative rating for him and post about him on the BOI. You will need a paid account to do so but that's your best bet.

Exactly, it's a "sponsor" just abusing the abilities of your site to bully people who are just small time people who wont be getting a sponsorship. I contacted the admins of the site as, well seeing as someone was abusing the site's privileges, thought they could help out on removing a negative feedback that was unwarranted as I did nothing to this person who acted like they were no longer interested and hadn't paid me anything anyway. What I was met with was snark.

What you are saying is that you want us to accept your opinion rather than someone else's. Sorry, but that just doesn't happen here. Your opinion carries no more weight than someone else's does. We don't know what happened between you two, and really have no intention to find out.

Seriously, why should we? Or if it sounds better to you and limits the target of your ire, why should I? Why should your opinion of a situation mean any more to me than what the other party's opinion is of it?

Is one of you lying? Beats me. Are both of you lying? Beats me. Will I ever find out? Nope. Any reason why I should try to find out? Nope.

You want me to stick my nose into your business. Sorry, but I decline the invitation.

Yeah, what Vanessa said. Or just get over it. No "sides" are taken here, as pointed out.

You sold what you were here to sell. Fauna did the job for you. Perhaps those buyers can post here to verify their successful transactions and the quality of your chams on the BOI. That would counter a negative rating you got.

I only produce 2-4 clutches a year. If you're using the site to buy and sell, you can afford the $25 a year membership. MorphMarket is well over $100 a year. If you want to use the more advanced options of the site, complain when you can't, and then don't pay the small fee ($2.08 a month) to get those perks, then you're not a small timer, you're just cheap. That is probably one reason why the admins don't really feel the need to get involved to help you... you're not even helping yourself using the incredibly inexpensive mechanisms already in place to do so.

You can make a BOI post about the individual. Keep it to facts without name calling and you just might have people who will reject any business with them.

This is the note left on the negative trader rating.

Leaving a negative trader rating for a transaction that never happened is an abuse of the trader rating system.

If Carolina Classic Dragons wanted those chams so badly he should have paid for them.

Derrick deserves to have this negative trader rating removed because it's there for a transaction that never happened.

Derrick, you can post a thread in the Board of Inquiry about this.

Carolinaclassicdragons was completely wrong to give you a negative trader rating about this.

Maybe someone with the power will right this wrong.

A new member should never be treated like this!

Sorry, but no.

We are not going to get into the habit nor establish a precedent for getting into the middle of such issues. We have no first hand factual evidence about anything that actually took place, and taking any action without such evidence would cause us to be placed in the position of taking one side over the other's simply based on opinion. Sorry, but we have no intention of doing that. Nor do we have any intention of doing any sort of investigation to try to determine what, if any, are the actual facts. The BOI was designed to allow these sorts of discussions so the readers could try to determine the truth from all statements made by all interested parties. With the BOI going away in February, so does the open platform for people having their say in that regard. At least on this site.

The Trader's Ratings is NOT going to become the Board of Inquiry Lite on this site. If it starts heading in that direction, it will simply be terminated and erased. With the removal of the BOI, discussions of such disputes will also be coming to an end across this entire site. Removal of the BOI does not mean that the discussions that used to take place there can simply migrate to other sections of the site. That is NOT going to happen, and anyone intent on doing so, and fails to desist when warned, will be removed. I sure as hell am not going to be spending my time, nor expect it of the moderators, to be sucked into these sorts of personal battles.

This should be all the proof that should be needed.
The note left on Derricks trader rating is a clear cut abuse of the trader rating system, why? because there was NO TRANSACTION.

No one else seems to care about this so why do I?

Because right is always right!

Well, refresh my memory then. Have I ever stated that an actual transaction was required to utilize the Trader's Ratings?

Derrick, you could join the site and leave feedback on this guy's feedback ratings.

I agree with those who have mentioned the BOI. The problem with judging the above note is that we are not in possession of all the facts. What was the nature of the 'commitment'? Did the buyer send a deposit? Did the buyer say he wanted them and did the seller agree to hold? Or, a common BOI situation, did the buyer simply say he wanted them with no deposit or payment or agreement and expect that a rational seller should hold the animal? (And almost universally, readers in past similar situations have said that without a deposit, payment or agreement there is no obligation to hold).
