    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Hey everyone,

First let me start off with the story...

Six months ago, Rob at Spiderballs.net announced the winner of his "free" pastel male. He had a first, second and third place prize. I was announced the winner of a free 50% possible het for albino ball python. I really didn't expect to win, but I thought it would be fun to try.

Anyway, Rob contacted me in August 2004 asking for my shipping info. I sent it to him via PM. And I sent it again. Apparently, I was unable to contact him for five months because "his computer had a nasty virus and he was too busy with breeding."

I have the screenshots to prove it.

However, I posted a thread on his website (spiderballs.net) wanting to know the best way to get in touch with him. He contacted me and then erased the post (which was fine and what I would have done myself). After no contact for another week, I posted another message with the same information with the changes that I added my shipping information and made it public. He then contacted me and set a ship date. I thought he would have erased this post just like the other but he didn't. I came home today and saw this reply by Rob:

"First of all I dont care what you think. I will send out the snake when I am good and ready. Sending you a free snake is not the first thing on my list. And to be honest never was. Call me a prick or an asshole that is fine. But I will be damned if you are going to trash me on my forums. I have replied to each and everyone of your emails,and when you called me I returned that call to your PREPAID CELLULAR that couldnt take incoming calls? I set up the contest for people to join the forums and become a part of the community, not to post their limit and leave. So dont even go there. Your 50% female will be out tomorrow like i said it will be.Take care,
Rob"

I then replied with this:

"Rob,

Why did you edit my post to say that I was "an impatient greedy and spiteful bitch?"

Don't even send the female. Holy **** Rob, I can't believe you posted that and EDITED my post! You are a very immature "business man."

I hope that other people see this and see what kind of person you really are...

That's right, Rob actually edited my post to add these select words: "an impatient greedy and spiteful bitch?" Who does that?! He also added "come and stalk me and break into my house and steal everything you can."

What I had originally said was "I mean, I can't get too mad over a free snake, but how does this make me and other people feel about Rob?"

So anyway, I hope everyone can see what an immature man Rob at Spiderballs.net is. I will never do business with him and I told him to keep the free female. I don't want even a free animal from a man like that...

Oh also, I called him and left I think a total of three or four messages to his cell phone. All of them had my contact HOME phone number and address. Yes I did call with a calling card, but we just moved to New York and that's what I use for long distance calls...

I didn't want to take this to the BOI, but I think Rob crossed the line.

I just wanted to let everyone know what kind of person Rob is. I really didn't think he would act this way, I mean, I never threatened him at all! All I did was ask for him to ship the snake I won. Six months is a long time, and "his computer took a ****," shouldn't make that time period allowable. Anyway, what's done is done, and now you can see it.

Thats pretty sad to see the situation degrade to that point.. Regardless if it is a free animal or one that was paid for the editing of posts is uncalled for..
 
Stuff like this makes me so happy the Webslave doesn't have a ginormous ego to feed all of the time. I think we sometimes forget how good we have it here!!! Thanks Webslave!!
 
I'm speechless. Wow..... I haven't done business with Rob before, but I have e-mailed him once, and he was nice. But wow....

Kingsnake is really no better, anything they don't like gets dumped, and I've heard horror stories from Bobby Pruett's forums worse than this one. It's all about the admins, if I posted ripping Webslave a new one, he may do alot of things, but I doubt he would remove or alter the post!
 
Do you think someone else has your name and password and did this to you instead of Rob? I mean, I'm still speechless. Why would a reputable breeder do this you one of his members? geez....wow....that's a mess

I can't say it's not possible, but I highly doubt that it would just get edited on the same day that Rob replies to it for the first time. Looks suspicious. And I know that he has other admins and moderators, but like I said, this is between Rob and I, so why would anyone else edit that post of mine in such a way?

** Update: **

I received this PM from Rob a few minutes ago:
"Ok i feel real bad about this whole situation and I will apologize for the disrespect you have been shown. I cant speak for anyone else but I do have a lot of LOYAL friends and some will go pretty far as to do some of that stuff. I did remove the post for such reasons but I see you posted it on the other forum and what not. I had o idea it was that rude. If you know me like most do you can be sure that I dont treat people like that. even my worst enimies will tell you that. I have a well started female 100% het albino I would like to offer up instead of the 03 50% to make things right. I admit i was andry when i saw that ost this mornignespecially after we have been back and forth with the PMs and emails. that threw me for a loop i guess. Anyhow I still plan on shipping out tomorrow so just tell me what of the 2 you would like. I have also removed everyone elses ability to Mod posts and edit things of that nature.

I told him that no one will ever know who "really" made those changes to my post, but that I accept his apology and will take the 50% possible het albino. I told him that he can ship the 100% het albino if he wants, but it is not necessary; that's not what I won... I also told him that that thread was started (the spiderballs.net thread, not this thread) before we had made contact through email.

I still don't know who or what to believe, but I do know that someone made me look like an ass; it didn't feel that great either... I'm glad that Rob removed admin and moderator status from the users on his forum.
