Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

I'm sure this is going to leave a bad taste in a few mouths but.....
The Bottom Line is this.
First off I've never done business with Neil, nor will I ever, But How many people have to experience problems with this individual before you say enough is enough?
It's like Wildebeest crossing a river knowing there is a crocodile awaiting to take advantage. Well, It's sad! I feel that if you do business with a known Dishonest, Disrespectful and ultimately Selfish person, you need to start a thread on yourself for being FOOLISH!
For everyone who is going to retort with upset opinions, have at it. I know where I stand as far as MY Business ethics, and I couldn't sleep if I had ever acted the way I've seen this character act. There is no excuse for taking advantage of people trying to Quench their never-ending thirst for the passion of reptiles.
This is my two cents, I'll probably have two more here shortly.

I have to agree with what Paul said!
I would also say that the only reason Neil has been good to a few is because of poor sales due to his actions that had him being asked to leave fauna. His attitude and behavior ended up hurting his own business!

I have been reading these threads for awhile now. I have made some friends and have posted a lot more on threads. People on here who know my situation with Neil have very nicely (bluntly) told me that if I am willing to stick up for others I should do so for myself as well. That if I really believe in this site that I should be able to warn people with my own experience as well. I have been thinking that this all is true so here goes.
In late February I bought a rosy boa from Neil for my daughters sixteenth birthday. It was our first snake. He knew I was looking around on what to buy her and PM'ed me with this snake. Yes I had read posts about him, no I did not know a lot about snakes, tho was reading. I decided to give Neil the benefit of the doubt, after all he has sold a lot so some bad sales surely could be expected. Anyway, close to two months later the snake died. I did not write Neil as to this or that the snake had stopped eating because I well,,, just didnt want to go through the crap when someone tells Neil something bad. I started doing checking on my own with people I know on this board about this snake and what I can do. First off, and again, my stupidity, I did not know snakes do not poop green, all along from day one when he pooped on my daughter he pooped green. ( I did tell Neil that, and later he said he thought that odd at the time) By this time it was too late, the snake died the same size as when I got it.
I finally decided to tell Neil anyway of the snakes passing. I received what I thought I would but was glad I told him anyway. He told me not to do a necropsy, that he would just replace it with a 100.00 credit. So I thought cool, wasnt sure I wanted to but hey, I wouldnt be out really.
I decided to not go with a snake, (obvious reasons) and went with an orange uro that I had seen on KS in classifieds, eating good all that. He emailed me back and he picked the best one out for me and he would pick up the extra ten for shipping. Monday he sent it out, tuesday I received it,(this last tuesday 6-24-03). Great packing, Uro, really orange BUT rail thin. In emails with him I have found out that the uro was only pancured once, and not by him, by a place called Global where he got him from. And that Neil was force feeding it and that some had died already. Anyway, not what the ad said. He said if it died he will send me another one but I pay shipping. (Have emails)
Well when I say rail thin, I do not mean a little on the thin side. The Uro has passed this morning. I will attach a pic.
To Dawn, I think perhaps you should post your messages as well. I know you dont like this anymore than I do, but maybe with us learning the hard way, it will make it easier on others to learn. You may want to rethink your credit.

I've usually tried to tell people that my problems with Neil are all about his inability to tell the truth and the severe personality conflict we seem to have but that his animals were of good quality from what I've always seen. Well, it looks like I can't even offer THAT glimmer of hope to people, based upon what we've seen here in the last several postings!

That Uro looks disgusting... simply disgusting.
I'm usually the last guy to comment on things like that, a scar here or there is no big deal (when properly represented), a bit underweight is easily solved with a bit of TLC...
But I've seen fresh imports that look hundreds of times better than that animal... Fresh imports in Petco... Fresh imports in petco that are being treated for intestinal parasites...
How anyone could send that to a customer, especially after having labeled it as "healthy" is beyond my ability to understand.
Seriously underweight, kinked tail, bad body positioning, what looks like glazed over eyes (unless it's a picture of the animal after it died and had been frozen)... Is it possible to get a picture of the underside? I bet the belly is loaded with embedded mites and small ticks too.

Were all these animals for sale posted in kingsnake.com? At this point it seems quite obvious that the "credit" offered might entail more risks than benefits. Although you might chalk this one as a bad personal experience, have you thought about filing a complain with kingsnake.com?

Thank you Jen for posting the picture for me. Seamus I have more pics of him but none of the underside and we ( the kids and I) burried him a few hours ago. I suppose when they go to sleep I can go back out there, but will really have to think on that one, this whole thing just turns my stomach.

What are Florida's laws regarding criminal animal neglect and do any of them relate to fraudulent sales?
The man's going to go to jail eventually, either when a security camera catches him in someone else's business after hours or when he gets raided for having what's got to be the sickest animals in the state.
File some charges, instigate an investigation. Don't let him get away with this kind of treatment of his customers, hit him with everything at your disposal.
And to think... this is how he treated one of his public supporters, imagine what he sends if he doesn't like you.
