    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Thanks to Kevin McCurley and Kara of NERD for my wonderful ball pythons! The snakes exceeded my expectations and arrived perfectly packaged. I appreciated their taking the time to wait for decent weather in order to ensure the safest conditions for my snakes. I highly recommend them and I'll be back for more!

i just recently purchased an animal from NERD for one of my customers and they were fast ,helpful and really great to deal with. Bill and Kara were the ones to help me out and they were really great and my customer was really pleased with the animal so everyone was happy. They are okay in my book.

I'm sure there are other positive NERD threads here, and aren't they getting a little redundant? Come on, someone other than Adam say something bad... we need at least one person to complain or else it seems just too unreal! :D

Their reputation proceeds them, obviously...

I know I've made my thoughts about NERD pretty clear in the other threads but I figured I'd chime in...

Until fairly reccently I lived in Massachusetts (still maintain a residence there), the herp community in New England is a bit more sequestered than it is in many other areas of the country, locally there are fairly few individuals who make a living off their reptiles and local shows and sales are VERY local...

As such a lot of my purchases were made locally either from friends or the few local retail establishments that I trusted, I've never been an individual who buys a lot of really "high end" morphs and have never spent more than $800 on an animal but everyone aqnd anyone affilitaed with NERD has always treated me in the exact same manner as their big time customers, with excellent animals, excellent information and perfect customer service, no matter what I was buying (or how little it cost) or even when just asking questions or making conversation. The animals have always been in 100% top notch health and the communication was always great.

Buy without the slightest hesitation if you happen to see anything you want... then buy extra animals just because you won't be dissapointed and people who put in the dedication and work to produce the quality N.E.R.D. does deserve your money.

Since Steve wants a complaint and I really can't think of a single legitimate thing to comment on in a negative manner...

NERD DOES RULE!!!

HI, There are so many NERD posts but I picked this one cause Kevin and NERD RULES. I have been breeding a Het for High Contrast Albino male to normal females the last couple of years to produce 50%ers. I have been breeding him to different females to increase my luck. Yeah Right.... I haven't been lucky until this year. I have a baby due in NOV and today when I came home I found an Albino with it's head out of an egg. It's sibling is normal looking and three eggs left to go. I CAN"T BELIEVE IT. Thanks GOD

NERD RULES!@#!@#

I posted this before, but it probably belongs in this thread.

I generally stay away from BOI b/c it can get downright petty and nasty BUT since Kara was nice enough to put in a good word for me below, I'd figure I'll put in a good word for Kev. I have known Kevin McCurley for 15+ years even before NERD (or Kara. During those years, Kevin McCurley has always been more than generous with his collection. Yes, Kevin gets busy up in the shop and can't answer every kid's question on how big alligators get, but that's the nature of the business.

With all due respect, KEVIN IS THE BALL PYTHON KING!!! Who else has brought so many genetically heritable morphs of ball pythons to the market?? Let's see... FIRST to prove ghosts (hypos), pastel jungles (same year as greg), spiders, caramel albinos, pearls, and woma balls. Not to mention the first designer and Angolan ball hybrids. In my opinion he's kind of the Rob Applegate of the ball python world.

So Kev, what's the secret project this year? What white smoke, leucistic project do you have brewing??

I have just recently purchased two normal female ball pythons from NERD for future breeding projects,a no doubt very small purchase dollar wise but I could not have been treated better if I had spent several thousand dollars.

I didn’t feel the above thread or the whole Adam Block topic belonged in here as more than enough time, energy and effort has been spent on both. However, I now feel obligated to point out your reason for a post that to an outsider or new user would seem so far off topic.

I've done quite a bit of growing up the past 9 months and will not only show fauna the respect it deserves but, will also only spend my time on the BOI productively, helping people and doing good while I'm here. Despite your effort I will not retort any further nor will I be dragged into a debate or argument, as neither have ever proven productive for myself, the hobby or this board.

Sure seems like it Adam. BTW how exactly are you being productive, doing good, and helping people out on this topic??? Everyone knows you havent changed, everyones just waiting for you to show your true colors again.
 
I know this is an old thread but i just found this site. I worked with kevin mcCurley long befor he was NERD. everything Adam said is absolutely true there were many times he would buy wild caught animals from cruchfield, then med them and sell them marketed as his own, or he would buy adults that were wild caught then med them and sell them as captive breed. there were MANY times that he flat out lied about the origin of an animal. while i did not agree with this it was in the interest of my own well being that i went along with what he told people. a leopard doesn't change its spots. when i finally left kevin and took my animals with me he called the cops and reported my animals as stolen. since they came with other things he ordered and the receipts were in his name the cops allowed him to take back 2 hog island boas 6 whites tree frogs and 15 lab cages full of mice. the mice and cages actually came in my name but i could not instantly find papers so they let them have them.
 
Troy, disgruntled former employees don't carry a lot of weight. Unless you can prove a specific instance where NERD did any of the things you claim, then you are really hurting your own reputation much more than theirs. You don't get as big as NERD by screwing your customers. Since it is doubtful you can, or will even attempt to back up what you say. Your post belongs here.:toiletcla
 
unfortunately i was not an "employee" we had a business arrangement, if i really wanted to get police reports from 1990 from the burlington mass police department bad enough i probably could. and as far as my "reputation" i have no interest in making one thanks to him. as far as backing it up the truth is the truth, if there were some reason i really needed to i would. but it is not worth my time of effort to go to that much trouble. you do get that big if you don't get caught often enough. seriously how many people can tell the difference between a wild caught and a captive breed snake that has been feed and medicated correctly.

also i forgot to add in my original message if i read right on his web site they claim the one guy that does his shows is Australian i may incorrect about that but if that is what they are claiming he is not he grew up in NH.
 
Wow.... you come on here and make a grand total of 2 posts... both with acusations... and no proof to back it up.

Whats next... are you going after Rich and Kathy Love as well. Seeing as how you apparently like big name targets.
