Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Bad Guy NEVER BUY ANYTHING FROM GENERALEXOTICS.COM!!!

Either refund her for the dead frog or replace the frog... One way or another... In my opinion it's up to the buyer whether she wants to try shipping again with your company or take the refund on the frog and go elsewhere... I myself would take the money and go elsewhere but that's just me!! She is owed one frog since she didn't receive what she payed for!

Hell yes you do. The live arrival of orders are YOUR RESPONSIBILITY. There is obviously something wrong with your "supplier" and their shipping practices. You either owe this person another frog or a refund of the purchase price of 1 frog.

I couldn't find your shipping terms at http://www.crypticdragons.com/breeders.html but I did go to some of your other Reputable Breeders links.

http://www.richbeasley.com/terms.htm states the following:

"If your reptile is DOA, and all of our guarantee requirements have been met, I will gladly refund the purchase price of the reptile or replace the reptile if a suitable replacement is available. I do not refund shipping costs and if you chose to replace the reptile you will be charged for the additional shipping. Please note that I will only replace an animal once."

I think this is standard in the industry.

Rich's terms have nothing to do with me. And I would bet you that if a situation such as what you have arrised he would not handle it the way you are. Dont be mad just cause you are being called out on your bs.
 
I don't even think I would want to be sent anymore frogs. What if they die as well. I don't want anymore frogs to die. I do, ever, think I'm entitled to some sort of refund - since I payed $145.00 to only recieve on live frog. The frogs were $30 each, shipping was $45.00 (for a terrible shipping job) so the total was $105.00. Then I was charged another $40.00 to get the replacement frogs in, and one didn't even make it.

What does everyone think would be fair?
 
Eric, that's not the case. The first ones died because of careless packaging which is YOUR responsibility. Stop asking us what we think and talk to her directly and ASK HER WHAT SHE WANTS YOU TO DO!!

You've got a lot of unhappy people viewing this thread. Make things right.
 
I just want to say that this situation is quite obviouse (poor husbandtry) i placed an order with them back in february and after 3 days of my shipping date being pushed forward i received an email stating that their facility was shut down due to inspections.Of course i do not have this email anymore but they were very quick to give me a refund.In my book GENERALEXOTICS is on my do not by from list.
This was only my experience and no i do not have any PROOF.

I've already agreed that the broken cool pack is my responsibility and the additional shipping charges are being refunded. Check back earlier in this discussion.

One of the frogs from the second shipment did not arrive alive. Do I owe her another frog free of charge (including shipping)? Your honest opinions please.

Your TOS is live arrival? If they didn't arrive alive and she can prove DOA then yes.
 
OK... Is that what is stated on YOUR terms?? Just wondering because it is clearly stated on some and there are no surprises... This isn't about another company.. this is about your company and shipping practices or lack there of! The first shipment was not packaged properly which resulted in the DOA... perhaps they would have arrived fine if precautionary measures had been taken... the second package seems to have included an ailing frog since the other is fine... Is that the customers fault? NO... It's your company/supplier's fault... refund the price of the frog and call it a lesson learned!! Make sure that you chose a supplier that has competant workers if you can't package and ship the animals yourself and you would avoid situations like this!! Good Luck with future endevours... I must say.. I don't think I'd be able to do business with you if you are not taking responsibility for the mistakes on your end. Glad you refunded the shipping cost... Hope you learned something from this thread!! Just my Opinion!!

No one mad here. And I am merely pointing to Rich's terms as an example. My terms are the same as his.

I guarantee you he wouldnt handle it the way General Exotics did. I know Rich personally and have been to his house on multiple occasions as he only lives about 4 hours from me.

Doesn't make your terms right. Your terms and terms like that are set forth so that if things go wrong it is not you that gets "hurt" by it. And in your case it is put into place because you have no quality control whatsoever over what you sell.

That is third party and not allowed. Unless you are qouting him dont post it. You dont know for 100% sure. He posted another persons handling on dead animals. Why bash the guy even more? he is making the situation right. Thats what this site is for. I say back off some now.

Yes. This is exactly why I think one of the replacement frogs died. As I said, the frog was extremly thin - which I think could have been caused by bad husbandry or extreme stress (or both).
I believe you, I don't need any proof.

IMO if you do not want anymore frogs and it was my business. I would pay you back the cost of the frogs. Plus total shipping. If it were me I would refund $105 tell you Im sorry and hope that even though you are upset you felt I did right by you after I take full blame. Thats just me.
 
YES i beleive you too 100% i dont post in the boi much but i felt i needed too this time.
Im so sorry for all this drama you went thru and even more soory for the 3 frogs lost in all this all animals are precious and honestly you cant put a price tag on any of them im very disturbed by all of this.

stating you think somebody elses company would handle it diffrently IMO breaks the rules posted. That company has a way they do things. you posting in a forum they might do it differently can confuse people.
