Welcome my brother,
into the realm of the indigo breeder. This makes it official. This, as they say, is where the rubber hits the road.
In e-mail you asked me what my strategy will be for getting them started. The answer is, pretty much the same as waiting for them to hatch. It's just a matter of waiting until they are ready. Right now, my fat lil devils have a gut load of yolk. So I wait as they digest that, and they continue to develop, post hatch. Then after they finish shedding the first time, and they finish digesting the egg yolk is when I begin to focus my efforts. Until that time, mine don't even act curious about anything I offer. Until they show intrest by tongue flicking and such, there's not much point. Although I do try a time or two, I just don't worry about it yet. I think they where designed to be able to survive for a long time on what they absorb from the egg. If correct incubation parameters are maintained, they will develop better and soak up more juice. And I am still trying to zero in on the perfect parameters, but I will. But I think cooler temps of around 74 are probably going to be about it. And I am hoping for another 5 days next time. So in short, my advice is, just enjoy them lil nippers. Handle them frequently, gently, and slowly. When they start to feel warm, put them away. And I think 74 is still fine for now. But soon when the room cools, I will turn on the heat tapes in the rack just enough to maintain that 74 while everyone else starts night drop.
So in short, enjoy, and relax. The fun has just begun! Congrats and good work!
