    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

ok so im new to this site and a beginner at keeping reptiles. i have doing a little research and came up blank. im trying to find a place where i can take classes on reptile husbandry and what not here in texas and i keep coming up blank. is there anyone who can gove me a hand and let me know fo any places that i can look at getting classes for reptile husbandry in texas not much farther than maybe dallas?

Hi Kitti. I'm not sure of any husbandry classes in the area. You might contact Tim Cole of Austin Reptile Service... if he doesn't offer classes himself I bet he could find someone that does.

That said, you can learn everything you need to know here and on the web. Experience is the best method to learn husbandry. Each species is unique in requirements and behavior. Keep up the interest and in a year or two time you will be teaching others what you know. Read, read, read! And if you have questions don't be afraid to ask. PM me personally if you like.

Most of all, have fun with it!

i learn quickly so time would be a bit shortened.i already know so much but i want to get more info in. i plan to become one of the biggest know reptile breeders. but i wont be just breeding. ill be rescuing and researching and not to mention conservation.

Kitti Kat seems like a fun name....not sure if I would love or hate my parents for something like that, lol.

As long as I'm posting, prepare to take some fire for putting yourself out as both a rescue and a breeder; as well as for soliciting donations without a posted 501(c)(3) status. (Private rescues CAN ask for donations, but it should be made clear that they are not tax deductible...and, frankly, most of the people requesting donations for their private reptile "rescues" are simply looking for free stuff with which they can make money)

BTW, if you actually look at BlackbaudNow's site, they specify in multiple places that they are for nonprofit organizations. I didn't see anything that specifically stated that private enterprises could/could not utilize their resources.

I suspected as much, but I've been wrong before....
