In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

This one hatched from an infertile egg lol

Egg was laid on 02/28 and I really thought it was infertile, it even got moldy but I put a little desenex on it and the mold went away but it always felt "thick shelled" and kinda soft not hard like my other fertiles but it was so darn dirty from using vermiculite at the time that I never could candle it to see anything. I incubate all the even if I think they are infertile until they are so moldy and collpased that there is no hope and thats a good thing for this little looker!

AHAHA!!!! good job wendy! THIS is why we never toss those bad eggs out till they positively explode. ya never know... very cutie striper!

Its clutchmate is still in the incubator so maybe Ill get lucky and they will both hatch, it is much softer feeling though so Im going to cross my fingers and do the I thought it ws infertile but it might not be dance lol

nice!

pretty fortunate for you and that baby that you didnt toss that egg, haha, you're hatching out some nice looking stripes!

If there was ever a reason to incubate infertile eggs anyway, this is it! Looks like a nice little stripe pattern too... hopefully it'll stick with the little guy!

VERY COOL!!! thats why i only toos flatt eggs if they are soft i incubate them... the worst that can happen is they explode or deflate and i leave them in the incubator til they do either one LOLOL.
awwesome and very nice striper!!!

Thanks guys, I am curious to see how they look as they get older!

better post pics as it ages, that goes for all the leos your hatched out so far, little buggers..

Thanks Robin and Dan!

Im a pack rat anyway, hubby can't open a drawer or a cabinet without a little running of the mouth about all the stuff I could throw way lol

But being a pack rat and hoping on this little soft egg sure did pay off!

Lol!!!

It's a beauty!!! Gotta love those stripers! After 10 years, I am pretty good at being able to tell if an egg is fertile or not, but if I have the slightest doubt I incubate them anyway. I have had some little sweethearts come out of dented, moldy eggs... so 'ya never know!

Nicey nice..... That is one pretty little stripe..... It pays to hold onto eggs at times.... Glad it hatch for you..... Beautiful.....

For once I love being wrong lol

The egg had a weird texture felt kinda like wet leather, flexible but thick.

Just goes to show how weird can feel and be good!

Is that sweet or what, and to top it off that is a cool looking little one! When did the mold start showing up?

It actually starting to mold within 2 weeks and the egg felt rubbery but it was so dirty I couldn't candle it. I marked it infertile on my egg sheet but I never throw them out til they are beyond any kind of hope and Im glad I kept it!

And thanks all!
