    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

I purchased 2 female beardies and they look very healthy they are about 8 months old and I check for everything you normally look for and all seemed well. I got them home and in there set up but they want eat and they don't move a lot it has been 1 week now and I am starting to worry real bad does anyone know anything thing to try or suggestions. I have offered mealworms, crickets, and all kind of greens and vegs. I think they have eaten just a little but not enough.

I have them in a 65 galloon tank on paper I have a UV light and a under the tank heat pad the hot spot is about 85 to 87 degrees and it drops to high 70's at night.

Beardies don't sense heat from their bellies, they are basking creatures. They need an overhead heat source, with one area for basking with temps of 105 to 110 degrees. I provide both flat, dark rocks and branches to get up to the basking spot and get the correct temps. The ambient temp in the tank should be around 85 degrees by the time they get to the "cool side". Night-time temps can drop considerably lower, as the basking light will not be on at night, but they need the high temps during the day. As cool as they are, they very well may not even want to eat, as they cannot digest what food they have eaten.

You also want to make sure you are offering the appropriate sized food items, and aren't leaving the crickets in the tank to "harass" them if they do not eat them. That can lead to stress and not eating as well. I offer salads first thing in the morning, and about an hour later, I toss in ONLY as many crix as they will eat, dusted with calcium powder. I offer babies crix several times a day, but older dragons twice a day.

You may also want to try taping construction paper or something similar on the sides of the tank to provide them with some privacy until they are completely comfortable in their new surroundings. Anything you can do to help relieve any stress may help.....but you REALLY need to get those temps up.
