    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

bump for a question....The herpstat pro does not come grounded? Would it pop an error/fail if I used it on a metal rack such as a freedom breeder?
 
I would recommend a HerpStat Grounded or HerpStat ND Grounded with a metal rack. The HerpStat Pro is not grounded. If you have a Pro already you can get a appliance grounding kit available form most electric supply companies and ground your rack directly to your house ground.

does the herpstat II come in a grounded option??
also the blue display looks cool....but does it have actual advantages? is it more visable than the normal display? and is it visable in the dark?

Only the standard HerpStat and the ND come with a grounded plug option. The new blue display is brighter and can be seen in the dark. It does have the coolness factor.
 
Got a question for you, on the Herpstat II, is it like having 2 herpstat's were you can control 2 say cages at different temps? both with different night drops?
 
I have a question about the Herpstat Pro. I see that it comes in 2 versions. The regular $319 version which is just the unit and also the $390 version which includes the PC software etc. Can you tell me what the difference is if I were to purchase the base model vs the "deluxe" model? Is it really worth the extra $$$?
 
Does the herpstat nd have a built in night drop or would I have to hook it to a timer. I have a johnson right now and I am not pleased
