    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

I just got 4 Dumerils on Tuesday and 2 of them have respiratory infections. I seperated them and increased their heat. I also gave them a bigger water bowl to increase the humidity a bit. When my BCI had an RI, these methods cleared everything up quite well. Is there anything else that I am forgetting? Should I try to feed them more, less, same? How long should I wait to check up on them again? I don't want to bother them and risk stressing them further. Any help would be appreciated.

really kind of depends on how bad they are. heat up - yes. humidity up - depends, this time of year it may not necessary. you don't want to increase the humidity too much...warm & wet = bacteria, and could make things worse.
are these hatchlings? are they making noise? coughing/sneezing? mucus present? bubbles at nose or mouth? are they feeding? Bottom line, they should be checked regularly to monitor the symptoms (check daily, serious check every other), and if they seem to be getting worse - start considering the trip to the vet

Thanx for the reply. I increased the humidity slightly because it is quite dry here in Southern California. They are wheezing and there is some mucus around the mouth at times. They both fed the day before I picked them up (monday.) One is a hatchling and one is yearling. The other 2 I got seem to be doing ok, but I am keeping a close eye on them just in case. Mostly, I was wondering how often I should check up on them. I'll keep ya posted, and again, thanx for the reply.
