Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Bad Guy New England Aquatics...Troy, Chris, and Kelly!

Nail them to the wall on the bounced check. Here in Texas people can and do go to jail for that.

Jami, the proper way to handle

a bounced check: take the check to your bank and tell the teller or a rep. that you want the check "protested" There may be a charge, but what happens is that your bank send the issuer's bank a legal notification requesting proof that there was or was not money in the account when the check was written... This paperwork will come back to you... The protested paperwork is a legal document that can be applied in any state as the banks are federally regulated. It is a document that clearly indicates whether it is a fraud related issue to any municipality that can handle checks such as yours...

Of course you can tack on court costs and other fee's to cover your expenses... Depending on the state, it could also be a felony if the amount exceeds whatever the statues indicate.. JERRY

One other point,

The courts love protested documents because it provides NO maneuverability to the person who issued the check clearly showing there motives were not honorable. It becomes an indefensible argument to the check writer...

Sorry to hear you were ripped off Jamie.

I think you've been more than fair. I don't know what Kelly's problem is, saying all sorts of junk about you, how you shipped dragons to SOMEONE ELSE, that dragons she bought and had then died, and it's your fault.. Not to mention that you should have refused to sell dragons to a pet store? What? Well that's what all businesses do, refuse to sell to buyers!

*shaking head*

I hope your state attorney's office and sheriff's office get some swift justice for you. That store is stealing from you, and anyone who took dragons from them and then resold them is practically trafficing in stolen goods. Especially if they KNOW the dragons aren't paid for!

GOod luck! Better sales in the future for you.

The certified letter is going out today to notify them. After 14 days, were are able to turn this over to the NH police.

Jamie

Any News??

I am just following up on this. I see you had used some of the advice I sent you in the PM. I am so hoping that you dealt this :censored: a serious blow!

Living somewhat local to them, if there is anything else I can do to help you, please let me know!

Wayne

Let me start by saying that I have been to Jamie's home on a number of occasions and all her animals have always been healthy, clean, and well taken care of. She genuinely cares about the animals she provides for and the babies they produce. She has always strived to provide excellent customer service and advice on the animals that she sells. I have also purchased from her several times and done countless trades. The transactions and animals were always flawless. I wish the industry would consist of more people like her. I am proud to call her a true friend and would recommend her to anyone anyday.

Now, on to the matter at hand. This whole ordeal has been going on for over a month. She was contacted on 6/7 about the ad, shipped the dragons on 6/8, waited on payment for over two weeks without an update or anything, then finally had to contact the company herself. Then, when she finally did receive the check almost a month later, the money was no good! She has been a lot more patient than most people would have been.

New England Aquatics has really dropped the ball when it comes to communication, responsibility, and good business practices. Jamie sent you a nice group of quality dragons and deserves better than a runaround with bs checks. You were able to sell all or most of the dragons, and have probably made a nice profit off of her dragons. Now have some balls and show some responsibility by sending Jamie her hard earned (legitimate) money!

Now, Miss Frenette, you are in the wrong and you know it. Your story has changed so much through this whole ordeal that I don't even know which part to believe!

First you stated that you help out at the shop:

"by Kelcifer on Thu Jun 18, 2009 8:18 am
oh i completely agree with you its just the shop that i help out with ordered a whole sale lot of 75 dragons. that was nuts having all those babies at once.... but i took a couple the shop held on to a few for themselves personally and saved a few to sell. the rest went to other shops looking for beardies. but they have one that i should have taken and its turning into a leucstic. i was mad about the 60 baby dragons in one sac and 15 bigger dragon in the other in a tiny box."

Then you proceed to say:

"im not part of the shop at all. its their business and money. i paid for the 12 dragons that went in for on the deal. i only bought that lot thinking i might keep a couple. i gave chris my cash and that was that. i dont know what they did with the money or who it went to. i told them it was a bad idea to get all those dragons at once. i told them to start with a small 5 or 10 lot. but they didnt and figured to get them all. i paid for the 12 that i took and the rest was up to them. i told them to send them back but they had buyers already so they kept the live ones. i lost three of my twelve. i just happend to buy the wrong dragons from the wrong breeder. i wont make that mistake again. oh did i mention that jamie never asked where the dragons were going? or ask if the shop had experiance with dragons at all? after seeing how small they were and in the condition they were in, i ended up taking a few of the smallest ones since i knew they would die if they stayed at the shop and by doing that i lost out. as for asking about the bloodlines of the dragons, i had a breeder intersted in taking one but wanted to know what the lines were, so i asked jamie. the shop and i are two differant playing fields. im independant from the shop as i've told jamie countless times. i paid for dragons that were small and looked young and a few died. the shops dragons arent mine and its their problem not mine. "

So which is it? Are you associated with the store or are you not?

Then, what is the whole deal with a 3-day guarantee? Jamie's ad clearly stated that she guaranteed live, healthy arrival. She never said that she guaranteed anything beyond that on wholesale. You also stated in this paragraph that the store probably did not have dragon experience. Then you wonder why a week later, some of the dragons supposedly died "from reasons unknown". "Reasons unknown" meaning we didn't know what the heck we were doing and didn't care for these dragons properly. I mean, who in their right mind would order 75 baby dragons if they had little to no prior experience?! That is pretty much asking for failure! And then you have the nerve to blame your incompetence on the breeder! It's not her fault that you/the pet store/whoever didn't know what you were doing.

they dragons you sent were extreamly small. You only guarenteed them three days after shipping.
not a week later a few of them died for reasons unkown. I wanted to know
if anyone else has delt with you in the past and what they
thought and if they had problems. on top of
which the shop that bought these tiny dragons was new and i dont believe they had dragon expeirance
. I posted trying to figure out what
kind of business you ran and if the shop should
continue to do business with you. However since
almost a dozen dragons died i dont think we will. It was foolish of them to buy that many at once. Especially ones that tiny.

sorry about not coming to you first but i wanted to find out what kind of business i was dealing with. Besides that i dont remember anyone saying anything rude about your business."

Troy was the one that contacted Jamie in the first place about the dragons. He is the one that stated that he was satisfied with the dragons and was issuing a check. So who are you to step in and contradict that? Who are you to go on a public forum and talk bad about her dragons when it is not even her fault? Jamie cannot be held responsible for what happens to the dragons once they are out of her care. The DOA's are one thing and she covered those, but the babies that died later on were due to your incompetence and your incompetence alone. I have seen her babies and they have always been flawless and I am sure the ones she sent you were no exception.

And by the way, none of the dragons were supposedly leatherback. She clearly stated in the ad that they were leatherback siblings. Let me spell that out for you... l-e-a-t-h-e-r-b-a-c-k s-i-b-l-i-n-g-s, meaning they are the normal siblings out of a leatherback clutch. Leatherback is a codominant trait, so only half of the clutch would be leatherbacks. You've gotta be nuts to think that she would sell you leatherbacks for $18 each! So what happened, were you trying to sell the dragons you got as leatherbacks? And then when you realized you just had normals it made you mad? Well, I have a solution - - - do some research! Learn basic genetics! Maybe then you won't end up looking like a complete moron on a public forum!

Why would Jamie have to use heat packs in June? Do you really want a whole box of cooked dragons?

"just wondering why you would ship 60 tiny dragons in one sac all mixed together unmarked, no heat packs, in a box that was 12x9x7 with 15 larger babies crammed on top? the fact that you emailed me to gloat that you posted me on BOI shows what a scam you are. your in it for the money. as i've told you before im not dealing with you anymore, chris and troy are a sperate matter from me. I want quality over quantity and your dragons werent quality. "

Who's a scam here? Jamie sent you guys 75 healthy, quality dragons. It has been over a month and she has yet to receive her payment for these dragons. In the meantime, you have sold them and padded your pockets with the profit. Jamie has not received a dime from you for her dragons. So, tell me, who is in it for the money? Who got 75 dragons free of charge and sold them for profit? That is stealing, so technically every dragon you sold is stolen property!

No, she gets offended by people like you that crouch behind their computer screen and talk crap about her business and stretch the truth when they don't have any common sense. The whole reason she even posted on the BOI is because of the bounced check. She felt that she should post her entire experience with the company and anything associated with it (you). And let me tell you, you wont be in this business for long if you don't seriously revise your business practices!

"so let me get this strait, you get offended by what other people have to say about you? Well you're in the wrong business pal. So if someone wants to know something about a breeder by asking others what they think its wrong? this all started because i asked if anyone ever delt with you. sorry wholesale buyers and millers dont count i want to know what individual people have to say. its apperant that you cant handle what they say or else you wouldnt have felt threatened enough to post on the BOI. Whatever floats your boat i guess. I figured when the last email i sent you stated that i wouldnt be doing any business with you again that im done and to have a nice night would have left it at that. but apperantly you feel the need to get the last word in and when i ignored your last email, you got pissed enough to come here. Karma will bite you in the ass. i can post pictures of the dead dragon a how big it was if you like. "

I have stated my point, take it for what it is.

Getting off my soap box now...

Thanks,

Snake Eyes Exotics
Quality Captive Bred Reptiles

as i have stated i am not part of the shop. i dont get paid by them, my name isnt on anything related to the shop. i helped out twice since they've opened and that was to help unload shipments. i bought the dragons off of chris and troy for what they supposedly paid jamie. they had told me they sent you the money. i have the check stub and the atm reciept to show that i paid for my dragons from them. i was there the day the dragons came in and yes i was unhappy with the way they arrived. but as far as being a part of the shop, i am nothing to them and havent talked to them since i brought the dragons home. they have not returned my emails nor phone calls. plainly i wasnt thinking before posting that stuff over a month ago and i am sorry. but as i've also stated before i will not due business with you either. so i think we agree on that.
let me know what comes of the legal actions against the NE Aquatics since im not appart of them as a business just a customer, it makes me wonder who else isnt getting paid? i thought central mass suppliers were supposed to send you the money? if i gave chris and troy my money and central mass gave them theirs, where did it go?
i've helped out the store unload shippments and thats it. i am only a customer to them when i need to be. but like i've said i havent talked to them since this whole ordeal. i helped out and im not a part of it only a customer. so in a sence i should have gone back to the shop and had them exchange my dragons. sorry on my half but i dont know what the other guys are doing.

cuz troy is scared of snakes and cant handle birds and chris was "at the bank" this is more of a laid back close whenever they feel like it shop. i knew the original owners of the shop as well before the owner died.

yeah thats the one.... the dragons we got at the shop were tiny.

So, you aren't associated with the shop except to do a little unloading on two occasions as nothing more than a customer, yet you were trying to figure out if the shop should continue to do business with Jamie? Not only that, you "don't think we will." So, you call the shots for the shop? They come to you for your business advice and recommendations? LMAO!

Yeah, talk about stretching the truth.
A "laid back close whenever they feel like it shop" that doesn't feel like paying for what they purchased and a "I help at the shop ... we won't buy from you again .. no, wait, I don't help at the shop ... well, twice I did, but I'm not associated with them" brainiac. Sheesh. Good luck, Jamie!

Kelcifer you should have kept your mouth shut and stayed out of it in the first place. Your beef never was with nor should it ever have been brought to valley dragons. If you are not a business partner and are only a "customer" than far as i know any "customer" would go to the shop they got the beardies from and said hey my dragons died i want it fixed. No "customer" goes to a pet shop and says "hey i bought dragons from you and they died but i dont hold you responsible, who is the breeder you got them from its their fault you sold me dragons that died"

That just doesnt add up you know it as well as we do. You need to realize you have really sullied your future reputation by involving yourself in this. It will come back on you in future dealings. Too bad for you that you arent a partner and are only a "customer". At least if you were a business partner your idiotic statements would be partially justified.

I havespoken with Jamie on this in private to see what is going on. Currently its on hold until the end of the 14 day wait after having sent the certified letter. Once the 14 days is up charges will be filed against the prticipants in this fraudulant act. People do not understand what the outcome of their actions can often be. Fraudulant checks are a big fine/penalty in most states. Kelcifer you need to tell your "friends" they need to pay Jamie before this goes real bad for them.

I have spoken to Jamie on PM about this, too. She said the same thing to me. Living in NH, it really erks me, when people in my own back yard, pull crap like this. I have been burned by the good ole check payment, before. Not by this individual, but by another.

I also PMd Kelly (Kelcifer) about this, too. Right after I asked for the update, in this thread. From what I understand, she paid Troy, for her portion of the geckos and then Troy was supposed to make the payment to Jamie. She said that she has proof that she paid Troy. She also mentioned to me, that she hasn't been in contact or visited the store, since she found out about the bounced check. So :shrug01:!

I urged her to contact Jamie and see if she can work with her to collect the money, from Troy. Since he is the one who bounced the check. She said that she reached out to Jamie and offered to help, in any way she can. Maybe Jamie can verify this? I get the impression, from our PM's that she is sincere about this, because she has expressed to me, her frustration and anger over the bounced check, but again, :shrug01:? The rest of the stuff written in this thread, well??, maybe that's a different dog in this fight?? I dunno :shrug01: I think the bounced check is the main thing!!

Since reading this thread, I don't live that far from the store. I have never been there, but thought about making a visit. Who knows what else I could find? :reddevil:

I really hope this ends well! People come to their senses and do what's right!

Wayne

Kelly reached out to me and apologized for what she said. I appreaciated the apology, and I really do not need to deal with her anymore. My beef is with New England Aquatics, who has not paid me and will not communicate with me. If ANYONE could influence them to send a payment I would appreciate it!

Jamie

Well, if you sent them the certifiedm 14 day letter and they fail to make that check good, then I am sure the local PD, in their town, will influence them! LOL!! And, if they can't, I am sure the Judge will implore them. ;) As I mentioned previously, an NSF check in NH, for more then $1000 is a Class A Felony. I sure Troy's family would be proud of him, for that!

Well, I just got my certified letter sent back to me by the post office. There were two delivery attempts, and the idiots did not pick it up at the post office either. At least I have my evidence now to send to the NH police, which is what I have been waiting for. I emailed Chris and Troy one last time asking for payment. Do you think they have made ANY attempt to contact me? OF COURSE NOT! This is ridiculous. They are criminals outright, and I hope they are punished to the fullest extent of the law. It's going to be pretty hard to keep their little reptile shop afloat from prison...Grrrrr.....

Jamie :(

i certainly hope they get pinned to the wall. and i hope you are able to get at least some of your money back.
