Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

New forum needed?

Heck, I don't know. As I have seen repeatedly on the BOI, there is a certain subclass of humanity that just NEEDS to have an audience for their verbal sparring with other people. Things that SHOULD be done via email are not all that satisfying for them because of the lack of an audience I guess. Maybe I should open up the HELL forum to new threads. That way, maybe it would act as a blotter for the flow or acrimony and disharmonious flaming that blights other parts of this site. I would hope it would serve the purpose of giving those people the public outlet they need to see their arguments and clever repartees in print on a public message board.

No, this will not overflow into other areas of this site. If it does happen, then the forum will simply be removed and anyone attempting to carry this on elsewhere will simply be suspended and fined until they either get with the program or become bankrupt.

For those looking for entertainment, well there it is. Heck, I'm going to open it up for new threads. Worst thing that could happen is that some people will tell me "I told you so." The best that could happen is that it could help out somewhat by limiting the problems plaguing the BOI yet still provide the entertainment factor that some people come here looking for.

What the heck. I've done dumber things........

BTW, perhaps I need to add a new warning to the warning system for those people who don't catch the drift about that new forum. Something like "Escaped demon from HELL" - 10 warning points.

As long as it doesn't spill over into the professional areas of the BOI, I think it is great. But it needs to be very clear that any spillage would mean serious consequences.

I did go and visit this "War Room" place and I have to say that I have a new lack of respect for many people from what I have seen there. But, if that is what they want to do, so be it, they found a place.

This is what I try to tell people. I myself and my site are judged by what other people post. Instead of the person. I just supply the battle ground. lol

No one has to click a forum like this.

I meant mine to be a fun place for people to push and shove. Like friends do lol. Or for the dirty joke you just heard. you know fun. But the flames came and I would not edit it because I am very high on sink or swim by your words.

You visit my war room but that is not the whole site. I have 69 other forums.

And this is the only thing I feel Rich will run into . The other forums will be over Shadowed by this Hell. When in fact he has 80+ other great forums for everyone.
 
I don't post here often, but I have come to the BOI several times a week, for over four years now. Personally, I think Mr. Z does a fantastic job running this HUGE site. I can't imagine the time he spends here, but I think he knows his site is appreciated and used by nearly everyone in the reptile community. I think a HELL forum is a GREAT idea. Why not have a forum that anything, (or just about anything) goes. I think most people are capable of controlling themselves. There are times when people get a bit out of control but no one is forced to read their posts. To deny a forum such as HELL because some people here think those type of forums are crude is ridiculous. Sure there will be threads posted that are crazy, but don't read them. Most adults can decided for themselves whether or not someone is just a trouble maker or if someone is ligitimately complaining. Just because people might use language that others don't care for is no reason to say that anything they have to say is ludicrous. I think Mr. Z has great ideas on how to run HELL and I know he can handle it. I also liked the points that Cheryl Marchek aka JM made. I am glad to see that Mr. Z went ahead with his idea dispite the few that don't want a HELL forum, or that think that The War Room is all anyone needs for venting. I had never heard of The War Room or that site until I read this thread yesterday. I guess I'm not a big surfer lol. I also have never been to lots of places on this site.....mainly because of time not because I'm not interested. So I am happy to see that the new forum has been opened. Thanks Mr. Z and best of luck.......
