In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Hello everyone! I am quite obviously new here and would like to introduce myself. I live in Texas, work full-time and am trying to go back to school.

I have always loved animals, especially reptiles and just two years ago was able to get my very first ball python. I was finally able to do so because I no longer live with my parents, for some reason my mom absolutely hates snakes. :( Her name is Tex: I know it sounds silly, but I originally named her Baxter because I wasn't sure if she was a boy or a girl. When I finally was able to get her sexed, and found out, I thought it would be an amusing "Red vs. Blue" reference. :D I purchase another Ball Python about a year ago, and was able to get a male, his name is Ouroborus, Ouro for short.

Currently, I am seeking more information on the breeding of these precious little snakes. I am interested in starting up a pet store in my area since there are none that are specialized in reptiles and I would like to start with ball pythons.

Welcome Emily! :D scroll down till you hit the Ball Python Discussion forum. You'll have all the info you can fill your brain with :)

Welcome from the FAR west of Texas.

All sorts of info here. Look around, you'll find lots on BP's and if you don't find it, you can always ask and someone will be there to help I'm sure. Not likely me though, I'm a Boa guy. I don't do BP's. (Like my friend Tom says, I have nothing to feed them to. :reddevil: )

Might be able to pick up some pointers in the business sections too.

Rick

Greetings fellow reptile lover and TEXAN.

Thank you!
Yes crotalusadamanteus, you are quite a bit west of me, and thank you for the pointers. Boa's are awesome too, and if plans go accordingly I will have at least a few of them too. :D

I just moved to Copperas Cove a month ago, and I too am new to Fauna Classifieds and want to finally properly introduce myself :) My name is Jessica, I have worked with bearded dragons for 6 years now (got my first one when I was 16) I finally have built up a good stock for breeding an hoping to get it n it's feet next summer :) I'm a stay at home mom, a military wife, and an animal lover. I have a rescued pitbull terrier named Lilly and 13 bearded dragons :) All recieving attention and love. I used to be in the military myself but a medically discharged, which sucked, but was okay by me :p Emily, I' sure your snakes are pretty! I love snakes, but with a small child in the house, they aren' really the best idea, so we'll leave that that until he is a little older.

Thank you all!

I understand Jessica, (un)luckily I don't have any little ones of my own that I would need to worry about with snakes. I bet your dragons are gorgeous though too, as soon as I am able, I will take pictures of my snakes and post them up. :D

Yeah, Jessica - your pics. Why would you actually post photos of those tiny sickly looking dragons on your website, along with their descriptions?

From your site (and screen shots taken):

Oh good grief .... wrong thread. It was meant for another pertinent thread, I promise.
My apologies.

:) Giving myself my due "spanking"

Thanks snake...you think even my really little ones are cute? Or should I not have them up there, Laura thinks I shouldn't but they are still my babies. What do you think?

I think you should keep them up there, you could always have a month to month or however old they are, and then one year later or something similar. Kind of like a before and after shot as they grow. I don't know enough about dragons, but I think that of the larger ones that you have, their colorations are gorgeous, and when the babies get bigger they will become more distinct. I think that they are cute even though they are babies. :D
