In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Congratulations on your first rhac. I would suggest though, to put a couple more vertically oriented branches in the tank. Leopard geckos mostly only use the floor, but a gargoyle will use anything it can climb on so the more branches=the more usable cage space. Of course, you don't want it so cluttered you can't see them but neither do you want them to feel exposed and/or only have use of 30% of the cage.

Congrats again, I'm sure you'll enjoy your gargoyle. They're great geckos.

Thank you for the advice! You cant see it in the picture but there is a second branch leading up into the back right corner of the cage. The leaves are coveriing most of it so he a nice place to hide. I was looking into some larger bark peices and a couple small hides for the tank as well though! Unfortunately my local pet supply stores are pretty limited :/ But i should be able to find somthing sooner or later!

Thanks again!

I thought there was something back there. :) You can use branches you collect yourself, and with a tank of that size it won't be any problem at all preparing them. If you put them in a large tupperware and pour boiling water all over them, let them sit for a while and then bake them on 250 for 45 minutes or so that should kill anything that's in them. It's cheaper too. I collect my own branches for my Uroplatus enclosures and they're too big to fit in an oven so they don't even get that treatment, yet everybody is fine.

Also, for small animals I think those flexible vines are a nice way to link branches and fill up an enclosure the way you like it. Good luck with your new garg!

Oh thank you! I have been wondering how to cure your own self collected branches! Now if only there were some exotic trees around my area. haha!

I use birch, maple and cherry. Just pick sections that appeal to you or compliment your animals. Stay away from sappy woods like pine etc. and choose hardwoods.

I knew that much at the very least lol Tuesday can't even come soon enough. My excitement is building to epic proportions haha

In the email i just received, was this adorable picture letting me know my little guy is on his way! :D

Congrats on your first Gargoyle Gecko &/or Rhac in general.:)
I think you will really enjoy him/her. Gargoyles are great.

Sorry for the crappy phone quality pictures! After being shipped out April 30th in the morning, USPS finally got this little guy to my door May 2nd. Luckily he looks alright! He ate some CGD off my finger and i showed him where it was in his tank. Now to leave him alone for a bit so he can calm down from his 2 day cross country adventure! Will post more pictures soon!

Hes the cutest little guy ever :] And definitely a good climber/jumper! I see a very spacious tall tank in his future! haha

Nice garg, congrats ! Seems like you already know what you're doing :) , gotta appreciate a person who does their research prior to purchasing an animal.

:D thanks so much! I over research if there is such a thing haha I make sure everything is in order and i can take complete care of them :] Plus i just love knowing everything about them! I have wanted a gargoyle ever since i first saw one on the net. I had never even seen one (let alone held one) in person. It was basically love at first sight when i saw this little guy though. I couldnt help myself and needed to become part of the Rhac group! I hope to someday become a casual breeder of gargs actually, so im already heavily researching that too haha
