In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Well, I guess it's time I made the announcement public....I'm going to be a grandma!! Yes, at the ripe old age of 37....

My daughter is now 5 months along, and is expecting a boy mid-April. I am getting very excited, and am having a good amount of fun Christmas shopping for a new baby in the family!!

Some first pics of "Jayden"...

Congrats Cathy!

It may seem young to be a grandma, but the beauty is that you have more energy and can relate better to your grandchild. (I was 32 when my granddaughter was born.) It'll be great!

LOL, thanks everyone!!! You all are too funny (Harald, I honestly LOL really loud at your post)!

I really am getting excited, though of course there's always plenty of worry in there too.....the "granny" title is the only thing I'm having a hard time with (thanks a LOT Bill, lmao). Well, that and I'm really not fond of the father of the baby, but all things that will take care of themselves in the end, I think.

And Brandi - the pic came that way from the hospital, arrow and all....heh.

Yeah, knowing I'm not the only not-so-old Gramma out there helps. In fact, the daughter was so worried over what my MIL was going to say....when I told her, she told me that she was a gramma at 37 too. And like Shelly said, it's got to be nice being able to still get out there and do the cool stuff with them as they grow up....though with my back, some days I FEEL like I'm about 82. LOL.

I already got him the cutest little Harley racing jacket you've ever seen.....heh.

My mum dislikes the term "granny" and "grandma" too (though she's in her mid-40's), so she settled on "nana." We're going to teach the baby to call her "banana." :D

Congrats! (again)

Thanks (again) Stef, lol.

I've thought about other titles besides "Granny" or "Gramma" orwhatever, and I remembered your talking about "Nana Banana"....and I decided I'd get used to Gramma!

My other half is still getting used to the idea....I don't think he's ready for the "Grampa" title at all yet. I figure it'll take about 14 seconds after the first time he sees the little guy to be OK with it, though. ;)

Congrats Cat!!!!!! Here's hoping for a beautiful healthy bouncing baby boy!!!

Tell him "Papa" is a lot easier to handle. Thats what Carter calls me. ;)

Thanks, all!! :D

And LOL Kevin, that's what they ALL say....;)

I'll maybe have to make that suggestion to the ol man, Bill...that might be a little less painful for him!

She keeps reminding me that I'm going to be in the delivery room with her (like I could forget lol), but I'm not sure how I'm going to handle that, however....goodness knows I don't have a weak stomach, I can handle blood and most anything you can throw at me....but this is different....:uhh:

I think it's way cool that she wants me there, though.
