    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

here's some pics of my leos, i have hade them for less than a week. a couple pics did not come out so well.

Welcome. While you are looking around fauna check out all the wonderful keeping info. There are tons of helpful tidbits on just about everything relating to leos. Almost everyone wants to help, if someone's advice comes across strong (or even rude) just roll with it and hang around. Some people on here have some many years experience raising all different kinds of herps, it's a great wealth of knowledge, but sometimes people can forget what it was like to be new to the seen. I've had my leos for almost a year now and absolutely love em'.

thanks, i've already check around a bit before i even posted. and it has been rather useful. i've read alot about people not using sand for juvies because of impaction. i'm feeding them crickets in a can and placing them on things up out of the sand to try and prevent this from happening, any thoughts?

Welcome fellow marylander. I think you would be better to use live small crix which are gutloaded and dusted, though if they are small enough, and they will eat dusted crix in a can, I guess that's OK. As for sand- (sigh! I hate this discussion) Those leos are TOO small for any sand like substrate. Keep them on the paper towels or something else they can't eat until they are much bigger. If you still want to use sand in another 6 months, let me know and I'll run you down on the precautions to take. Have you found the great reptile store in your area? Email me at [email protected] for details. And welcome to the fascinating world of leos! Happy herping-
