• In the past two days I have gotten emails asking about being requested to provide credit card info in order to register and also to make a post in the classifieds forums. PLEASE NOTE: In no instance will this site ask you for this sort of information. The only time any request for payment is made is if you choose to opt-in for a higher membership level, and that is done SOLELY through PayPal. Anything else is coming from a source other than this site. My guess is that this is coming through Google Adsense, but when I can get someone to send me a screen shot of this sort of request, I will know more.

In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Hello everyone,

I am new here obviously and just wanted to introduce myself. My name is Michael Cozad but I go by Mike. I have been a lurker here for some time and really enjoy reading about all of the herps listed. I grew up with a pet aquatic turtle which I had for 14 years. For the last 7 years I have been very active in saltwater reef aquariums and recently my interest has turned back towards reptiles. I have a small corn snake that I bought about a month ago to judge my wife's reaction with having a snake and she griped some but didn't make me sleep on the couch which is what I consider implied consent. My daughter has been wanting a bearded dragon and I am wanting to pick up a Brazilian rainbow boa. We have plans to go to reptiday in Laffayette in a couple of weeks and hopefully I can find a BRB there as I am wanting to be able to handle the snake before purchasing. Thanks for reading!

Mike
