My wife and I took a small vacation to go see some family (a family friend was watching the "pets"). We got back late last night and I found this guy sitting on a clutch that wasn't due for a few more days. Guess my math isn't as good and I though..LOL

So far 4 have pipped and I see at least two other spiders and a normal. The mother was bred to a mojave and a spider. I guess the spider won. I'll post more pics when they all hatch.

Thanks,
Joe Russell

Thank you,
Joe Russell

Thanks Jen

By the way, Mocha is doing great. She eats like there is no tomorrow. I still can't believe her pattern.

Thanks,
Joe Russell

That's great to hear! I always loved how reliable she was with food...I tend to notice that being a pattern with rescued snakes I end up with who were underfed. A skinny rescue girl I got in August '06 put on weight quickly and gave me 6 great eggs this spring. Within a week of laying, she was back on feed and has been pounding down the weaned rats like popcorn. I swear there's no better feeling then when they eat without issues!

Awww he/she is playing king of the castle! What a lovely spider, congrats Joe! Can't wait to see the whole clutch out.

I love this part of the year!!!

It looks like I'm going to wind up with 5 spiders and 6 normals. I haven't sexed them yet. Three are still in the eggs. I'll post pics of the rest hopefully later today.

Thank you again.
Joe Russell
