In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Both parents are yellow tigers.

In the morning, I'll take pics of the other hatchlings from the last week or so.

Thank you, Helen!!

That's right!! These cuties are NOT food!! Just look at those precious little smiling faces!!

How could you even think of feeding them to a snake!!

Get the little candoias some anoles or something else!!

I repeat-Cresties are NOT FOOD!!

BTW-how are your little darlings??

Doing good thanks, all had a nice fat (shhh...<gecko tail>.....) last night, third feed to date.

Actually the orange ones are a nice colour match for your new babies here - shame they wouldn't really lie down together.... ;)

How many hatchlings did you actually get? I'm imagining you running around like crazy getting them all starting to eat....

Glad you have them eating well, even if it means gecko tails.

Actually, cresties eat a powdered food that's mixed with water. They're frugiferous, and eat Allen Repashy's Crested Gecko Diet. It's a complete diet, so insects aren't necessary, although most people do give insects & worms as a treat.

As soon as they hatch and I get them into their new box, I give them a little dab of the diet on their noses, so they get a taste of what's for dinner.

So, there's really no running around and hand-feeding.

This year, I have 12 females breeding, and some are first-timers, so I'm getting mixed results with eggs. A lot of duds. They lay 2 eggs every 28 to 45 days or so, and I have 30 some eggs incubating, 12 or so hatchlings, and more on the way until about October.

They're really THE BEST starter herp. No special heating/lighting required, no insects or rodents, and easy to care for!

Every time one of the geckos drops a tail (doesn't happen very often-but it does happen), I think of you and your babies...too bad they can't be frozen and shipped out to you for your kids.

Yeah-seriously!!

I should start a collection for you...but would they eat F/T tails??

NO-I'm not gonna start amputating tails from my geckos, either!!!

Frog-butts are cute, but I won't traumatize them by snipping their tails off!!!

F/T tails is all we do - my snakes don't even know that geckos (or their bits) are capable of independent movement....

But I don't want to further hijack your hatching thread with recipes....post more pics (makes good menu items....)

No-seriously!!

It's interesting!!

I wonder what they would do if they encounter a freshly-thrown, still wiggling tail!!

As for recipes...I'm afraid to even ask!!

Well, since you insist...

We normally serve our geckos tails chinese style....

But I do have difficulty slicing the water chestnuts thin enough.... :ack2:
