In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

New here and wanted some friends!

My name is Dave and I am new to the site, even though I am not new to the field. If anyone knows who Matt Panos is, he is my main influence for joining. I am an avid reptile collector. I don't have too much at the moment, but thats just for the moment while I get my life in order by trying to be a MAJOR breeder/buyer/seller. Please talk to me, get to know me, and/or just say hello. I am a very nice guy and I love hearing from people and hearing about thier animals or about MY animals. Please- input welcome. I have just made a purchase recently. i bought some new animals that I won't discuss yet, but later I will and i will post pictures too. For now I also have some crested geckos. We think the adult female is gravid, so I'm really hoping for some egg-laying action! Haha. The introduction: Like I said, I'm Dave
Male adult (45grams)- Crestie
Female adult yellow/fire pattern (40 grams)- Daisy
(and) Female juvie dalmation spots (29 grams)- Bella

They are all awesome and I want you to feel free to talk about them alot, cause i love them so much the conversation never gets old. They all have distinct, and uniqu personalities too, which is awesome, so get to know them, and get to know me! here are a few pics! ENJOY!!!!

Any idea of the morph of you male? I have a female that is very similar in color. And have been trying to get some ideas of what morph she might be. Here is a pic of my female that I'm talking about.

Welcome David! I'm Brittany, I keep cresties too and I'm almost done with my first breeding season! They are fantastic little critters. I also have 4 ball pythons, which I hope to start breeding in a year or two, mainly once I'm more stable and able to afford producing a clutch or two of little pythons.

I've been keeping reptiles since I was 8 or 9, so pretty much half of my life :)

Very cute group, Daisy is a nice looking lady! I love yellow cresties and I can't wait to set up a yellow tiger group.

Here's a pic of two I hatched today:

And my favorite hold back that I produced, Roenick (4.1g):

I have 3 adult crested geckos, and some other babies on my website if you want to see more pics... I'm just a bit too sleepy to send this thread to dial up hell :p

I love talking about herps, so feel free to pm me or post on my wall

@Lgvalhall I'd say his male is an olive bi color based on his colors. I can't tell what your girl is from the lighting in the pic.

I agree

(for both replies!) i agree with Brittney on the fact that your first gecko picture is probably most definately an olive morph of some sort. Not too sure exactly about the markings on the side though. Seems to have gotten that from most likely the female end (what morph was the mama???). my male is a way weird situation. he is like that color like 75% of the time, but with a temperature change, he totally turns like a black/lavender with a bright white pinstripe all of the way down his back. I think he got a rare gene somehow. As far as yours go, brittaney, They are absolutely gorgeous! Nice patterns, and the babies are super cute. My gravid female(s?) have pretty cool patterns, and the breeding male (Crestie), like I said- is unique, so they should have pretty awesome offspring. i actually had to purchase a new incubator today for when my animals lay eggs. The leos I own are like egg laying machines! Haha. I actually spent a few more bux and went with the reptibator from zoomed. I'm excited to get it, and Hope its all i could ever hope for! I plan on getting a normal thermostat to add to it though (for percise accuracy!). Anyway, I love talking about herps also. What got you into the "game" at such an early age? Just wondering. Do you like leos at all? I have some AMAZING, AWESOME, BEAUTIFUL leos. They are 1 of a kind group as far as I am concerned. Although, I DO wanna add a super snow albino to the mix. The reason I ask is that I will be eventually selling my babies (and the crestie babies too), and wanted to know if you would be interested. I will let them go for a very fair price to you, so just keep that in mind too for the future. Message me back, and we will talk more.....oh, and I want that link to see your babies! I'm super tired too by the way! Talk later!

p.s.- I LOVE your holdback crestie- BEAUTIFUL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks for the compliments! I can't wait to see how my lil hold back grows :D

As to why I got into herps at that age- I loved dinosaurs as a little kid and I started with raising tadpoles from our pool. I kept frogs for about a year. When I was 9 I saw a baby cornsnake and after begging my parents they finally let me get her... and from there this little addiction has grown! I've always been the sole provider of my animals as well, my parents aren't afraid of them but they won't touch them lol

I've never had a leo before, mainly because I don't like feeding insects all the time... my cricket colony was doing good for a while and then it died off on the 3rd generation :( If I had permission to grow a roach colony in this house I'd probably own some insectivorious species, but I got the "no" vote on them from the family. Can't blame them though, I'm not a fan of them either!

I do love the way they look and I know a lot of people on this forum love them so post photos, they are adorable little fellas!

Nice collection, I have to say. my cresties arent what you would think a collector would go for pattern wise, necessarily. i actually think that they are the best though because a a few things- with the patterns the adult male and adult female have, you are gonna end up with a nice morph when having offspring (maybe an orange or red) Plus if you couldnt tell- Daisy has chahoua gecko characteristics cause she has the genes....you get the hidden message right? The parents were a crested x chahoua mix and a fire pattern- same with BELLA. I believe that her and crestie will make super dalmations! That would be cool, huh. shes still too small to breed tho at this time. Secondly- thier personalities are amazing. I LOVE interacting with them, and thier mannerisms and characteristics are adorable! Awwwww! Haha. So, that hopefully gets passed on to offspring too! lastly- but not limited to- The male, at least, is kind of a breeding machine...and thats good too. anyway, blah blah blah. We should definately start an alliance, so to speak, on here. between the 2 of us and our animals (my othhers yet to be announced), we have some pretty awesome sh**! Also, you should look into leos. I have some morphs that would blow anybody's mind, and they are gonna have hatchlings sooner or later, so..... message back!

AND I will post photos soon. My 3 females need to get fatter again. They just got done bein preggo before I got them, so they lost weight. SOOOOOON! I promise! I can't wait to show my super giant!

Just curious, why would they produce super dals? None of them are dalmations themselves, although I'm sure dalmations can pop up from clean parents if it's in the genes. I always thought that to produce super dals you bred 2 heavily spotted parents together and hoped to get some even more spotted babies

Do you know what % (chahoua/crested) they are?

Anyways, I second their awesome personalities! My adult male spike is the most laid back fella you could ask for, he just sits on your hand like a bump on a log.... unless he mistakes your hand for a female. I have Nabby who comes up to the top of the cage, waiting for me to take her out and feed her... she likes being hand fed even if I leave food in there lol
And then there's Chewy- she never misses a chance to crap on you or take a flying leap, she's a spazz

One of these days I'll get leos.. they are on my very long "want" list. Above them are more ball python morphs, blood pythons, blue tongue skinks, and boas

Yeah I like blue tongue skinks too. Those are on my "long list" lol. I never was and still am not into pythons or boas. I dont know why, but they just are not appealing to me. May I ask what you find so appealing? Just curious. MANY MANY MANY people on here (and many other sites/forums) seem to love them. guess its just what they like? Anyway, I foolow up the crested discussion by saying, yes they are pretty awesome and unique creatures. Love em to death. Sounds like your cresteds are pretty damn awesome! my juvie, Bella sounds the same as the one you mentioned last- shes a spazz too! Haha. Maybe they are related somehow! Haha. She thinks she is a frog and jumps around (even when she doesnt have to) like she just plain enjoys it, and at the same time she is a "princess", so she CAN stick her nose up at you...its funny. As far as the super dalmation thing- thats a heresay thing. i was informed that she came from super dalmation geneology, but I dont know...And as far as what % chahoua Daisy is- I'm not super positive but maybe like 30% Not even half. kind of an experemen/hybrid thing with the parents and it got passed on a little. She has just slight features that you can see if you study her structure and stuff. finally- i will give you a good deal when I have leo offspring if you are interested! I Cannot talk more about it or i'll be in trouble with the moderators, so if you are interested in more info about them, PM me, ok? Talk to ya soon, friend.

I'm more into snakes for a few reasons- I love the ease of keeping them, the way they look, move, and interact with people/ the enviorment. It's hard to put my finger on what exactly is the reason I'm attracted to those species, I just love pythons and boas!
