In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Hi all! I just got my first Leucy Ratsnake hatchling the other day (I currently also have a yearling cornsnake). He's so amazingly tiny...and opposite of what I have been reading about leucys for the past few months, this little fella is increadibly calm and mellow. Seems quite curious, and I don't get even a tail rattle when handling him. He just kinda explores for a bit and then curls up in my hand! He actually seems more docile than my corn (who is also docile, but horribly shy). Anyways, just wanted to show off a few pics of my tiny little guy. :)

This is how he looked when he first arrived. He had started to shed while in transit:

Much prettier post shed though, eh?

And he took his first meal without any hessitation.

Sorry for all the pics...I'm just maddly in love with this little guy.

Welcome :wavey: Beautiful little guy you got there. Thanks for sharing the pictures.

Apparently, he hasn't read the books

all the literature clearly states that he is supposed to swallow his prey starting at the head. :eatsmiley but don't tell him, he seems to be enjoying himself.
Welcome to Fauna

HAHAHAHA. Yeah...it's funny...my corn did the same thing too the first few times I fed her. With this little guy, I was just so thrilled to see him eating, I could care less. LOL. He was being given live pinkeys where he came from. And he was just shipped here on Wednesday! I was going to wait until tomorrow to feed him, to give him more time to adjust..and hope he'd accept f/th...but he had just shed and kept poking around, so I figured he was probably hungry....and he just plopped the thing in his mouth like it was candy. Didn't care that the room was light, or that I was snapping pictures....he just kept chomping away. This is fantastic, because I've heard so many stories about snakes that refuse to eat when being watched, and have to be left alone in the dark in order to eat...this guy was the complete oppposite. I'm so proud of my little worm! LOL.
