• In the past two days I have gotten emails asking about being requested to provide credit card info in order to register and also to make a post in the classifieds forums. PLEASE NOTE: In no instance will this site ask you for this sort of information. The only time any request for payment is made is if you choose to opt-in for a higher membership level, and that is done SOLELY through PayPal. Anything else is coming from a source other than this site. My guess is that this is coming through Google Adsense, but when I can get someone to send me a screen shot of this sort of request, I will know more.

    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Hey all,

This is my first time here, so go easy on me. Long story short, due to a snafu with USPS, I find myself in possession of two Herpstat thermostats while I only need one. I'm looking to recoup some of my cost, and Dion at Spyder Robotics recommended this as a good first place to try (before I resort to eBay).

So I have one new, unused Herpstat proportional thermostat for sale. Specs and such here:

I may also have a "night drop" cable (not new, but I've never used it-- got it with another herpstat via eBay a while back). I'm not at home right now, so I can't swear to it, but I'm pretty sure I have one which I'd be happy to throw in if you think you have a use for it.

Direct from Spyder Robotics it's $109 plus shipping. I'm asking $90 with free UPS ground shipping in the lower 48 (perhaps FedEx if that's your preference and it's a similar price). I've never actually sold anything online before, so we'll have to discuss payment options, but I'm fairly flexible. PM, reply, or email if you're interested.
