These two little ladies are my first leopards. I have another but she is in shed so no pics. BTW sorry for the crappy pics, can't find my digital. I was just wondering if these are something out of the ordinary. They definately stood out from the others. I went to Petco(i know bad idea but only place local to get f/t mice and rats for my boas) and seen these beauties and couldn't pass them up. My question really is do they have a certain morph or mutation name. Any and all help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Joe Henderson

Well the cutie in the second pic is a patternless. congrats on a good find there :)

the first baby I would call a striped normal, but some would say it is just an abberant patterned normal, since the tail is banded and not striped also. She is also a Circlebutt of course (pseudo-morph coined by yours truly, heheh).

anyways they are cute and look healthy, so CONGRATS and ENJOY!
(and get fecals done immediately :D )

Thank you, will the patternless keep the yellow color or will it fade out? The third little one i picked up is just like the one that you said is patternless (they were the only two that had that pattern). Pics of her will be up after shed. Also will the one with the stripe pass the stripe on to her offspring?

Thanks again,
Joe Henderson

the patternless will keep the yellow color yes. what will fade out is the "pattern" or that greyish marbling it has now. it will go a solid yellow.

um... stripes are genetic yes but im not up on the rules of them. someone else could tell ya. lots of people on this forum are very into stripers.

Thanks so much for your help Laura. BTW the patternless also has a very tiny little bit of orange at the base of the tail. Although minute it is there, crappy web cam will never pick that up lol.

Thank you,
Joe Henderson

actually i did see that little bit of orange there at the base of the tail, yep yep. :) I have seen those fade, and in others, grow. lets hope it grows cause that looks cool. IMO, then a patternless has candy corn colors. yummy.

Here's my Patty

Thought I'd share this one with you and give you an idea of what your might look like when it gets bigger.

WOW! that's really what she will look like when she's an adult. That is a beautiful little guy/girl, thank you very much for the refference pic(can't wait to show my wife).

Thank you all,
Joe Henderson

LOL Sad part is your "crappy web cam" takes nicers photos than my digital camera. :) Grats on the leos, they are nice finds.

Yep. I aquired him from a friend of a friend whos pet store was closing down. He lives in a large rubbermaid tub with a water bottle, food dish and a huge hamster wheel. They are fairly inexpensive to keep. A bag of premium cat food is enough to keep him fed. For variety he loves grapes and crickets. His favorite toy is a toilet paper tube and he enjoys sitting on your lap for warmth during the cooler months. ..... now so I dont get ding'd for being off topic, what kind of setups are you using?

I have all three leos in a 20 long with a 60 watt red light, clay saucers for hides (wife works for a clay pot manufacturer can you say freebie lol), a rubbermaid sandwich container with moss for humid hide and stainless steel 3in. dish for the mealies. Oh and a sour cream lid for water. Will be ordering a boaphile rack for them very soon.

Pics of third Petco female

The third little girl shed last night. I seen her eating something and thought she was eating the moss in the damp hide. I kinda went into panic mode for a sec, then realized it was her shed lol. I also got her for $30 at Petco.
