    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Hi! I am new here and looking to purchase a Hognose snake for my 13-year-old son. He is thinking he may want to go into Herpetology when he grows up. He has had a Leopard Gecko and a salamander but is wanting to get a snake. After doing much research he decided on a Hognose. His hope is to eventually get a breeding pair but he wants to start out with one so he can learn more about them and feel confident with it before getting into breeding. Let me know who sells Hognoses and how I can get in touch with them. Thanks!

Glad I am not the only one, who, as a teen wanted a snake.

He is thinking he may want to go into Herpetology when he grows up.
That is very very cool.

He has had a Leopard Gecko and a salamander but is wanting to get a snake.
I am guessing, he took care of them for the most part. Which, I did at his age too. It might be worth mentioning, he, might not "grow out" of this "phase". I most defiantly did not. I grew "into it" :rofl:.

After doing much research he decided on a Hognose.
I can't say I blame him, that is a fantastic species. For both new keepers and the most advanced hobbyists.

His hope is to eventually get a breeding pair but he wants to start out with one so he can learn more about them and feel confident with it before getting into breeding.
Sounds like a very reasonable plan, in my humble opinion.

Let me know who sells Hognoses and how I can get in touch with them. Thanks!
I would recommend a simple Google search and looking at this portion of Fauna: http://www.faunaclassifieds.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=502
Hope that was somewhat helpful. Looking forward to hearing about your son and his new specimen soon.
