In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Hey all...

I'm new to this forum. I found it googling for 2-headed hoggies after I found a thread on KingSnake.com's forums about a 1.5-headed hoggie and got interested in the whole idea. I'd love to have a 2-headed snake!

Right now we have:

1.0.1 Ball Python
1.0.0 Anery Corn Snake
0.0.1 Black Rat Snake
0.0.1 Red-sided Garter
1.2 Budgie
1 German Shepherd
0.1.0 American Alligator (2.8 feet long)

I look forward to haunting the forums and seeing what's going on around here. I want to keep our collection to about a dozen herps, so we don't have a lot of herp space left... but I am constantly on the lookout for something fun and interesting to add. My wife and I aren't into "custom herps" so things like dreamsickles, albinos, etc., aren't really our interest, but we do like to keep exotic exotics, so things that are less common are of great interest to us.

How often do people see things like indigos, beauties, etc., show up on the forums?

Again, I look forward to hanging out and seeing what goes on around here.

Laterz!

Jared

And I'm the wife he mentioned. Jared's not into 'custom herps' so to speak, but I've seen some beautiful cornsnake morphs that I wouldn't mind having. What was it, a reverse Okeegee? Something like that. Basically it's an Okeegee with the opposite color scheme. BEAUTIFUL! And there are other really pretty color morphs of many species that I like. Don't know how many I'd like to own, as we said we don't plan on expanding our collection too much at the moment. We have an 8x8 room dedicated to the herps (and Beastie the gator has her own room in the basement), so the only limiting factors are time/energy and money. They're expensive to feed! And while Jared likes to have snakes for more of an observation/conservation sort of a thing, I want to be more touchy feely with my animals. While I'm understanding more that reptiles don't need a lot of interaction with humans to be 'happy', I still feel kind of guilty when a week or more goes by without us giving them any attention. Also, being in the veterinary field, I strongly believe that one should be able to afford care for any animal they have. So while many people may have dozens of herps, my personal feelings kind of limit us to what we can afford to take care of (in time and money). I'd LOVE to have more, but then I'd be one of those hypocrites!
