In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Hello All,

My name is Robert and I currently live in Orange County, California. Growing up in Southern California I was an avid herper / collector and my room stacked with aquariums and any other "cage" I could keep reptiles in from the time I was 9 or 10 years old. My collection growing up was a combination of FC and store bought and consisted of Kings, Garters, Gophers, Rosys, Racers, Redtails, Pythons, Ringnecks, Mangroves, Hognoses, Monitors, Iguanas, Caimans, Tortoises, and anything else I could get my hands on. This was the early 1980's and was a much different time in the hobby. When I was around the age of 12 my collection was stolen and I'll spare you guys the sob story but needless to say, it effectively ended my interest in keeping reptiles.
So here we are 30+ years later and for about the past 1-2 years I have not been able to get the thought out of my head that I wanted to get back into reptiles, specifically snakes. I have spent the last 6-12 months lurking forums and various reptile related sites trying to get myself "caught up" on all of the new information that's out there. I finally got some "show" tanks set up in my new snake room, have some Vision racks on order, picked up my 1st 7-8 snakes in the last couple weeks, and am really stoked to be back in the hobby. I'm happy that a community like this exists and I look forward to doing some business with some of you and learning from many of you.
Cheers.
