    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Hello, my name is Kelly and I wanted to say hello to everyone. I have many birds, and breed lovebirds. Amongst my bird collection I have a (1) Congo African Grey (m), (1) Blue and Gold Macaw (f), (2) Dusky Conures (both female), (1) Meyer's Parrot (f), (1) Rosella (?), (1) Rainbow Lori (m), (3) Cockatiels and many lovebirds (blue black masked, black masked, peach face and fischers).

My name, DracosHuman comes from my African Grey, Draco. He is not my bird, I am his human. (isn't this the way it always is???) :)

I am a relatively new breeder, for about two years. I am learning to understand the genetics of the lovebirds, I particularly favor the eye ring species. One of my "wants" is to find a dark series for the blue black masked lovies that I have here. (I have the dark series for the peach faced) There aren't many blue black masked in my area and I bought some that I found in petsmart....(which this boggles me, they were all unbanded!! Thought that was not legal?).

[Breeders note: I am assuming for safety purposes that these blue black masked are siblings and now need to find mates for them]

Anyway, hello to everyone, sorry for the long post! I look forward to talking with other people.

Kelly

Welcome to Fauna, Kelly! No need to apologize for the long post, it's nice to hear about what critters everyone has!

I'd love to have an African Grey some day, but for now the only bird I keep is a wonderful Cockatiel. He wolf-whistles at me every time I walk into the room, what a flirt, lol. ;)
