    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Ok, I know I said that I would wait but... I couldn't. :eek: So, here are the pics of my newest herps found at the Indy reptile show this weekend.

This is an albino cal king. I've named him Woodstock. He's about 4 1/2 ft long. I forgot to ask how old he is... :eek: The guy said something about him not seeing as well because he is albino? Is that true? I plan on using him as a mate for my black and white cal king. Is it too late to send them into brumation?

This is a little milk snake I picked up because my husband said he liked the colors... (he's not really a snake person so when he shows interest I try to nurture it) I've named him Linus.

This is Lucy. A leopard gecko I sort of took pity of... she's lost her tail somewhere and the kid was a real salesman. :rolleyes: I am too soft hearted. She's my first gecko so any helpful hints would be great. I've looked up the care sheets... some of the sheets mentioned that she needs grit... some never mentioned it. Does she or doesn't she?

This is Snoopy and the snake that started it all. She's not the first snake I've taken care of but is the first that I've personally owned. I've had her 8 years now. (I'm sure by now you have noticed the theme with the names...:rofl:)

And just to round out all of my reps... (Except Baron who is still AWOL... little stinker) This is my map turtle. Haven't named him yet but I've had him for about 9 months now.

I saw you there, well actually I saw your albino King. I recall seeing someone (couldn't tell you who was carrying the totes) holding a few totes and the King caught my eye. Nice looking snake. Congrats on the new acquisitions. :thumbsup:

I have heard of albino boas having many eye issues but never with the Kings.

As for cooling them, no it's not too late, but I would suggest a quarantine time (I quarantine for a minimum of 3 months) prior to introducing any new arrival to your collection.

For geckos I provide crickets, calcium, heat, a hide, and water. Some people use calcium sand as substrate but I opt to use paper towels and dust the crickets as well as having a small dish of powered calcium.
 
They can use the calcium powder as their grit? One of the sheets suggested that they use it like chickens to grind up their food and suggested a small dish of playground sand.

LOL, it might have been my husband carrying the totes... I handed it off to go get crickets for the gecko before the lady closed up shop. He was also keeping track of our 2 yr old and 7 yr old. :)
 
I advise against grit/snd of any kind for Leos. Even the calci-sand doesn't digest fast enough to dissolve in their digestive track. Small leos especially prove to impaction. I have had my Leos for only about 4 years but have had no problems without any sand/grit of any kind.

Well, it has been a toss up between Pig Pen and Rerun... I just haven't decided yet. :)

Anyone know how long it will take the gecko to regrow it's tail?
