    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

New posts, but can't view

On threads that say they have new posts I can't read them. It goes to the page I was last on, and then no more. I can see that there have been other posts on the threads, but I'm just not able to go to them. This includes new pages on posts as well.

I've already cleared my cookies, so I don't know if that's the problem or not.

Any insight, or is it just me? lol
 
I've been having the same issue. Receive notification of a new post, follow the link and it takes me to the last post I saw last night, no new ones showing even after getting more email notifications of new posts.
 
Ok, at least I'm not the only one. Sorry you're having this problem too. I thought it was my internet at first and so I cleared all my cookies, then restarted the browser. That didn't help.

I wonder if Rich (Webslave) has shut off the BOI threads to non-paying members from seeing new posts? I know that it's been mentioned in the thread concerning the BOI.
 
Yeah, I didn't see if that was mentioned as a change that was already made or not, just listed as a possibility. But I'm seeing the same thing from both my home computer and work computer so I'm thinking that may be what it is related to.
If that's the case and the switch over to that option has already been made then it might be time that I become a paying member too, was trying to hold off till I could spare the few $. But not being able to see if a thread has been resolved or not while I've been following it doesn't help too much.
 
I understand where you're coming from. I'll have to get the other half to make a payment to the forum from our account.

I can understand where Rich is coming from if that is the turn of events that has happened.
 
I'm having the same issue, just on one BOI thread though. I need to check and see if it's other ones as well. I can see all other areas just fine.

Hmm.. Seems to be just one particular thread, the Caliente one. The other ones I can get to the last page just fine. Weird.
 
Last night, the issue affected the caliente thread and these Admin threads. I think it is a glitch. I can view all of my subscribed threads today, and I'm not a paid member, YET! It was bugs for my babies or BOI this week. :rolleyes:
 
Yeah, after checking some of the other BOI threads that have new posts this afternoon I was able to view the most recent posts. The caliente thread appears to be the only one I'm not able to view any new posts on.

I just went back and checked some of the other threads that I couldn't get into earlier today, and I am able to get into those finally. It only took me clearing cookies on my browser again to be able to get into those threads.

So I'm guessing it's just the Caliente Dragons thread for everyone now. "Doo doo doo doo, doo doo doo doo" LOL
 
At least we're not going the way of the "Langoliers" about it.

Although I don't know which would be worse...Twilight Zone or Langoliers...

Nope, nothing I did. Possibly that MySQL database problem last night glitched the thread. I also had trouble getting to the last page in the thread, but once I posted a test reply, that appeared to break the log jam. At least for me, as I can now see the entire thread.

There may be other problems lurking. Database errors in vBulletin can be a SERIOUS problem. Some sites have lost days, even weeks, worth of posts when data got corrupted and lost. I do take backups, but if corruption is subtle, the damage could be done a LONG time ago, and basically be irreparable without some serious losses to the data.
 
All seems to be well now with that particular thread for me, as it was the only one I was having an issue with, but after you posted your reply I was then able to see all of the ones that have been posted in the interim.
