In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Rescue?

Maybe I'm looking at this the wrong way, but a "Rescue Site" with an extensive "For Sale" page, complete with an "add to cart" feature, raises a lot of questions. I didn't see anything about adopting animals out. Maybe I missed it...

I understand ...

The Page for the rescues is located at: BB Rescue The two are
run as completely separate entities. For example we took in 2 female Sumatran bloods last night, these will NEVER be offered for sale or bred they will be placed on the adoption page for just that, adoption. Our Adoption fees for small to medium snakes is 30.00 and the bloods will be also. I know of two rescues that take in animals and sell the animals at shows but I am not one of them. We pride ourselves on doing business VERY honestly and every endeavor we enter in will be handled with the same code of ethics.

Just because you got an animal for free doesn't mean it was rescued. To me a rescued animal is one that was in danger.

Check out the pic of my "free" northern BTS. The animal's only form of heat was from a heat rock. The cage temp was 62° when I picked him up.

The skink is doing much better and the belly is healing. It has yet to eat but I did see it drink once. If in the future I decide to sell this animal, what is wrong w/that?

The Bloods Where.....

Rescues. I have my 501C which is my non profit paper work. I am a Licensed rescue so when an animal comes to me paperwork is done on that animal thatanimal is given an ID number and it can not be sold. If I sold the animal then I would not be non profit. My business funds my rescue so I am able to take animals in get them the treatment they need and find them new homes.

If you receive an animal for free it is yours to do what you want just like if someone where to give me an animal. BUT if I fill paperwork out on any animal it is a rescue(meaning that it may not be in danger at this moment but it needs to be relocated before it is). So in short as I stated the animals I Rescue are offered for adoption when ready the animal I breed and sell will be for sale. If I get an animal given for free to me that is in good health it will be for sale but if I am contacted through the rescue by an individual or another rescue that animal will p for adoption not sale...I hope this clears up what a rescue is. I mean the ASPCA doesn't only take animals that are in danger they take unwanted animals and that is what a rescue does.

Tony:
I'm glad you explained to me what an actual rescue is. I took your first post totally wrong.

Sorry, I apologize if I came off as a b!tch, My Bad, !!!

No Problem at all.

I didn't think you came off like that at all I figured that my post wasn't very clear.

Why do you have an Alligator listed on your site with an adoption fee of $600?? Isn't that a bit much for an adoption fee? I don't see anyone paying that to adopt the poor guy.

Think about it. Only someone who truely wants to give that alligator a good forever home would be willing to pay that much. It's to keep kids from getting their hands on it as well as people who adopt reptiles for cheap and resell them to make a profit. Alligators are also very expensive as adults to take care of so if someone has $600 to spend on adopting it, they probably have the money to care for it. Hope that clears it up for ya.:)

To keep 12 year olds from contacting me and flooding my e-mail about wanting the BIG GATOR. I am in the process of working with a educational park for him which he is being donated to. He is not for sale or for adoption to any private collection. I will be damned if he is going to someone who will neglect/release/kill him. Just on the page so something is there. LOL I just took a few animals in that will be up soon.

Minors shouldn't be permitted to adopt at all. You might want to paste that all over the site (I didn't check your site out in detail, maybe you already have?). I'm glad to hear he'll be adopted out to an educational park. That would be the best place for him.

Yeah he is a big baby, he will not even eat meat if it is bloody it has to be boiled off first. This guy is hand fed here and I mean we use our hands and place the food in his mouth. We used him for educational shows for about 3 years and it breaks my heart to see him go but I am looking out for his best interest.
