Hey! It's been a while since I've posted, but I just sent money for a new boa and I'm totally excited. I just had to share pictures. He's a snow, produced by DC Boas this last season. He hasn't shipped yet, but once it's warm enough he'll be on his way. I'll be sure to post pics once he arrives.

My first snow; I'm so excited!

Good looking boa you've got there! Congrats on the new purchase. I have a few snakes that can't be shipped yet, so I know the feeling!

Hopefully he'll be shipping out soon. I think we may have finally caught a break in the weather on both ends of the journey.

Looks like I may have spoken too soon, lol. Updated forecast shows no day this week above freezing in my area. Drat :(

The weather finally warmed enough to ship him, for a short time, and he arrived this morning! I didn't want to say anything this time in case plans changed again.

He arrived approximately 8 hours ago. The first pic was literally my first glimpse of him. I opened the bag with camera in hand, heh. The second pic is him in his quarantine bin. He'll stay here for about a month before I move him into my main reptile room.

Thanks Chris Drews of DCBoas! He's beautiful!

Thanks! He's adjusting very quickly. I checked on him this morning to see how he felt after a peaceful night. He was slowly cruising the bin with his head slightly elevated, flicking his tongue every few seconds.

He allowed me to pick him up without acting nervous. After a moment he started slowly exploring. I held him for a good half hour before I put him back. I don't want to move too quickly with hand-taming him.

He has started cruising again. Looks like he's searching for food. I'm going to offer a small thawed mouse and see how he responds. He's nice and toasty and with him cruising like that he may be comfortable enough to eat. Whether he does or not he'll get until Monday with no further visits or disturbances.

Looks great!

Thank you :)

He was extremely eager to eat yesterday. He didn't hesitate at all before striking. I wanted to keep the food small with all he's been through lately, so I only offered a thawed small mouse.

Checked on him quietly this morning to make sure he hadn't regurgitated. I left the lights off and didn't open the enclosure or anything that might disturb him. He kept the food down and is camping on the warm end while it digests.

Currently we're picking out a name for him. My wife rolled her eyes when I proposed Jack, as in Jack Frost. Lol, most of my pets are named in Irish Gaelic.
