    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Hi I'm new to Ball Pythons (& snakes in general).

I have a bunch of questions

I keep seeing "lesser" ball pythons. What does the "lesser" mean?

I'm looking for brightly colored ball pythons & cool symmetrical patterns.

Can you all give me some suggestions on what morphs to look for?

Thats a good start, lesser specifically is a co-dominant morph and is "het" for Blue Eyes Leucistic so if you take a Lesser x Lesser you would get (out of 4 eggs) 1 Normal, 2 Lessers, and 1 Blue Eyed Lucy. There are plenty of co-doms like pastel, yellowbelly, enchi ect. If you ever have any genetics questions feel free to ask! There are plenty of good (smart) people on here!!

Wow that is a big list! I wish it had small thumbnail pics or something so you didn't have to click on all 2573 different morphs to see what it looks like. :p
Pretty comprehensive though. I'll have to take a couple days off & look through them all. lol

Is there a shorter list or some key words to search for?

I'm interested in bright yellows & blacks.
Also I'm not going to spend over $800.

Do any of the ball python morphs have other bright colors like orange?

Sometimes...the percentages given in any genetics calculator are per egg/baby. So applying those numbers correctly, it means each baby has a 25% chance of bring a normal, 50% chance of being a lesser, 25% chance of being a BEL. Statistically, the results will be what Cody stated...but that requires substantial quantities for the numbers to apply. Ball python clutches beat the odds, or lose hard, pretty frequently because the sample size isn't statistically significant.
