    =====================

    I am still waiting on my developer to finish up on the Classifieds Control Panel so I can use it to encourage members into becoming paying members. Google Adsense has become a real burden on the viewing of this site, but honestly it is the ONLY source of income now that keeps it afloat. I tried offering disabling the ads being viewed by paying members, but apparently that is not enough incentive. Quite frankly, Google Adsense has dropped down to where it barely brings in enough daily to match even a single paid member per day. But it still gets the bills paid. But at what cost?

    So even without the classifieds control panel being complete, I believe I am going to have to disable those Google ads completely and likely disable some options here that have been free since going to the new platform. Like classified ad bumping, member name changes, and anything else I can use to encourage this site to be supported by the members instead of the Google Adsense ads.

    But there is risk involved. I will not pay out of pocket for very long during this last ditch experimental effort. If I find that the membership does not want to support this site with memberships, then I cannot support your being able to post your classified ads here for free. No, I am not intending to start charging for your posting ads here. I will just shut the site down and that will be it. I will be done with FaunaClassifieds. I certainly don't need this, and can live the rest of my life just fine without it. If I see that no one else really wants it to survive neither, then so be it. It goes away and you all can just go elsewhere to advertise your animals and merchandise.

    Not sure when this will take place, and I don't intend to give any further warning concerning the disabling of the Google Adsense. Just as there probably won't be any warning if I decide to close down this site. You will just come here and there will be some sort of message that the site is gone, and you have a nice day.

    I have been trying to make a go of this site for a very long time. And quite frankly, I am just tired of trying. I had hoped that enough people would be willing to help me help you all have a free outlet to offer your stuff for sale. But every year I see less and less people coming to this site, much less supporting it financially. That is fine. I tried. I retired the SerpenCo business about 14 years ago, so retiring out of this business completely is not that big if a step for me, nor will it be especially painful to do. When I was in Thailand, I did not check in here for three weeks. I didn't miss it even a little bit. So if you all want it to remain, it will be in your hands. I really don't care either way.

    =====================
    Some people have indicated that finding the method to contribute is rather difficult. And I have to admit, that it is not all that obvious. So to help, here is a thread to help as a quide. How to become a contributing member of FaunaClassifieds.

    And for the record, I will be shutting down the Google Adsense ads on January 1, 2025.

Well as you can tell I am all about Leopard Geckos. I have quite a collection of them and enjoy them thoroughly. But something happened 2 weeks ago and I was smitten with another kind of lizard. A friend and I went to the Tallahasee Repticon show and I had no intentions of buying anything except maybe some supplies. Well lucky for us Calico Dragons was set up there with bins full of lovely little babies. Long story short me and my friend were hooked by the Bearded Dragon ! lol We both brought one home with us (she is into blue tongue skinks ) and we have been giggley little school girls over our new babies ever since! So anyway I wanted to post some pics of my girl Venus and say thanks to Calico Dragons for breeding some very nice dragons.

Hello

Hello,

Cute baby you have there! Really nice colors, too. :D
If you need any help or have any setup questions, please don't hesitate to ask, ok?

Don't worry I will ! I did alot of research on the set up so I got that and food also. One question I do have is she doesn't drink alot. I misted her twice a day but she just sits there and she might stick her tongue out once. I am providing her with veggies ( turnip greens and squash) so is that ok ? My friend's baby drinks every time she mists him.

Congrats, and welcome to the smelly world of bearded dragons. h ha ha ha ha (yes I have a few also)

that should be quite the looker for you!!!

Oh, my goodness. That face is darling, and the colors are AMAZING, especially for such a little one. You're going to have one very colorful adult there!

As for your baby not drinking when you're misting her, you may want to try bathing her in a sink of warm water, just up to her armpits. For whatever reason, some babies prefer to drink that way, as opposed to being misted. Oh, and if you're using cold water to mist with, that might be another reason. You might also want to try misting with warm water, if you've been using cold water.

Good luck! You've got a little beauty!

Ain't that the truth!!! I am also a leo person who is smitten with the beardies. I am now up to three (lucky for me that they require large enclosures so I can't become too addicted :eek: )

What a pretty baby :thumbsup:

Thanks alot I will try misting with warm water and see if she likes that. I did give her a bath the other day with warm water and she slept right through it ! lol Maybe it was too late in the day and I should try earlier when she is more active.

I'm another leo person that got fascinated with dragons, especially the orangy ones. I was able to get a 4 year old adult that someone else had rescued and brought back to health. I'm really enjoying her --she went to my block party with me today and was quite a hit. She will be my only beardie because of the space requirements.

Hello

Hello,

That is a nice looking red-orange dragon you have also! Just wanted to comment on that, too. :D

Well she is still not drinking ! I put her in a warm bath but as soon as I put her in it she just sits there and goes to sleep. I tried misting with the warm water also. So I am just making sure she eats her veggies. She really loves the squash !

Hello

Hello,

It does take time, but if you work with her enough, you should be able to get her to drink from a dropper. Just be consistent & she will eventually get used to it. At least she love squash though, that will give her some moisture along with her baths, too!
