• In case most of you have not noticed, I made changes to the donation amounts as well as the durations for all of the paid membership levels. Things are winding down here, and this seems to be the most prudent way to deal with the "end of life" period of this site.

    Contributor level members - $10 per 30 days
    Sponsors - Eliminated
    Benefactor level members - $25 per 30 days
    Endowment level members - $50 per 30 days

    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

New Year's Resolutions for the BOI:

The link to the paid subscriptions page (which includes the option for becoming a FaunaClassifieds Contributor - Option B) is now available simply by clicking on the contributors icon you see underneath any contributor's name.

I am thinking it might be an idea to collect all the fundraising auctions into a central area. That way, people will be able to select the items they would like to bid on, and vendors and donors could have a bit of space also to put in a good word about their business as I expect this fundraising area to be very high profile.

I would very much like once this is done to have those of you who can help Fauna, please be generous and donate an item large or small to start this area off.

I am very grateful for the people who have responded already; and I have had emails from others who are ready to donate an item to the 'Grand Opening'.

Stepping up

Hey everybody,
There are still a lot of forums without sponsors and way too many NON-Highlighted names in the membership listings.

Think what a force we can be as a unified group. Fauna can easily become the largest site of it's kind - it just takes a little help from everyone who benefits from it.

Please step up and help support Fauna!

when this post and the other one, that I think Lucille? put up in another section about becoming a contributing member, came out I stated I had donated $10, and would become a contributing member later, as I was tapped out from holiday Spending.

Just thought I would post this update, that my word was good. I'm officially a contributing member :nuts:

I became a contributor last night, I didn't want to post my resolution until it was completed just in case something happened. But all is well and I paid my $25 last night. :)
 
I sure hope you dont think contributing $25 to fauna is going to make people forget everything you've done....

Good going on the contribution, thats about the ONLY compliment you'll hear from me. Better write that down.........

I contributed because its the right thing to do and I was way overdue for my part of the help here.

Just wanted to make sure she didnt think she was purchasing acceptance. Even the lowest of the low can toss the board twentyfive bucks, it dosent correct or ammend any previous actions or statements.

You can further contribute by no longer making excuses for actions that could have been forgiven or accepted as mistake if they were presented as truths....... You can also further contribute by using honesty as your staple method of communication. Good Luck in the future, and thanks again for the contribution.

Chris, I know I screwed up and nothing can undo that, all I can do is make sure that I move forward in a positive way and only time and good transactions will speak for themselves one day, and I know that day is a long long road away.
 
Even without purchase anyone has the right and chance every day to a fresh start.
I am not referring to anyone specific here, but I believe the BOI has multiple uses. One is of course to alert the community to a past good or bad action.
The second is to afford a possibility of change.

I hope, and think you would agree with me here Chris, that if someone picks themself up off of the floor, having got there themselves, and makes a true change, that they deserve the benefit of a second chance. And I further think that you yourself Chris yes I am talking to you do not wriggle away, could be a powerful mentor should you choose. :)

You are a person of many possibilities......
