    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yes Scott was the one involved with the Nerd theft not Skip but they both worked as CV Exotics.

Obviously they still do in some capacity. I guess that would be expected due to the relationship.

Never heard anything bad about Skip until this thread.

that is disgusting to have a breeder like that. needs blacklisted by everyone. this guy is just like puppy mills and should be shut down asap..
 
Perhaps ask for weight and dont assume. Some of us dont feed every 3 days just to fatten up a snake. This hobby is getting to be disappointing.

I definitely will ask weights from here on out. But for a 2 year old snake to be 250g? that is alot less feeding than even once every 2 weeks. I never expected a breeder size when he told me he maintenance feeds. But I didn't expect a baby.

As I said openly at the start, yes it was my mistake for not asking weights at the start. I will do so from here on out.
 
Have you asked what entailed his maintanence feeding regimen? I ask because your assumption that he HAD to be feeding less than every two weeks does not hold much ground considering growth is dependent on a mixture of prey size, frequency, genetics, etc...? Based on the pictures, the snakes are significantly smaller than most at that age in today's market; however, their body composition and muscle tone seems appropriate for their weight in grams. Based on those pictures, you received healthy animals. I am honestly unsure what you wanted him to do, you never inquired about weights, even when told they were smaller than average, upon arrival you notified the seller and seemed satisfied with his answer, until later. I understand you have admitted that not asking for weights was your fault, but if that is the case, what exactly is your claim here? Is there now going to be a standard for ball python weights? Well it's a 2012 female so if it's not already 800 - 1000g, you must be a crap keeper. I got sick at my stomach last year at a show when I heard a vendor tell a customer to feed his yearling pastel female a small rat every 5 days so she could breed next year. I do not even consider throwing a female to breeding until she is 4 years old, but I do not bad mouth everyone else for planning on breeding mid 2012 females this coming November. How do I feed? Conservatively, but not to maintanence, why do I feed conservatively? I believe steady balanced growth is best for the animal, you may think differently and that's ok. Let me know if I missed something in this ordeal.
 
Even if he fed pinkies every 10 days, there is no way a yearling should be just over 100 grams and a 2 year old just over 200 grams. The seller is a piece of crap. Either he lied about the ages or he starved these animals.
 
Skip has a retail store and i have been to it, and there is no sign of starving animals. I think in this case both parties may have made slight errors. And skips prices are not that low. A krap breeder or puppy mill usually discount heavily as to move out the krap stock. Just my opinion
